Introduction Over forty million animals are being killed every year for the use of fashion. Contrary to the claims of the industry, these animals are living in poor unhealthy environments and then being killed in devastating ways such as poisoning, electrocution or breaking of the necks (Thomas). They are killed in cruel inhumane ways to get their skin, fur, horns or teeth etc. because of the constant demand within the high fashion industry. It is very upsetting that people kill animals in order to look stylish or glamorous. It is the look worn by many celebrities today such as Lady

Fashion industry is one of their major target and they actively protest against the high fashion houses, fashion shows and/or any apparel/accessories brand having animal product bearing apparel or accessories. A PETA investigation found that “In India, cows have their tails broken and chili peppers and tobacco rubbed into their eyes so that they will walk after they collapse while traveling long distances to slaughter.” Also, “animals on fur farms spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages. Fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest killing methods available, including suffocation, electrocution, gassing, and poisoning.” According to their investigation “more than half the fur in the U.S. comes from China, where millions of dogs and cats are bludgeoned, hanged, bled to death, and sometimes even skinned alive for their fur.” The same research also suggests that “most of the world 's wool comes from Australia, where sheep undergo "museling" a gruesome mutilation in which large chunks of skin and flesh are cut from lambs ' backsides without any painkillers (More …show more content…
There are plenty of organizations out there such as PETA, ASPCA, Petside, and hooves and Paws. Pairing up with one of these organizations will place a positive image on your company. We can also join a movement such a Fur Free Friday or Fur Funerals, either of these movements will show the respect we have for animals. Lastly making animal cruelty illegal will not only save millions of animals but will also make a larger profit for the fashion industry. If we let the animals die from a natural death we wouldn’t have to abuse them. Even though they will not obtain as much fur, fur will be rarer and rare objects are more expensive. Fashion designers will be able to make more of a profit off of their fur or animal clothing and

Animals live in horrible conditions before their lives are cut short. They then endure painful, unthinkable deaths, while causing damage to the environment. All this for the sake of an unnecessary global industry that makes billions of dollars annually. The animal fur and skin pelt industry is inhumane, lacking compassion for the life of these animals and the greater good of this planet. To begin, animals such as minks, and foxes are raised on fur factory farms or…

Even if a couple companies claimed to be treating the animals’ right, there would be no way to know for sure and it would be far too expensive to have people surveilling all the fur companies in the world. Fortunately, there has been an increasing number in those who are opposed to the fur trade. Thousands of animal rights activists have put multiple fur trading companies out of business due to their cruelty towards the animals. Many super models including Christy Turlington and Elle Macpherson have chosen to become fur free. Some fashion designers such as Stella McCartney have also chosen to go fur free, Stella not only avoids fur products but all animal products. Each year we are closer to nearly exterminating the fur trade but it has continued thus far. Why should millions of animals have to die for one person to be slightly warmer than they would be with a regular coat or jacket? Why should living things be tortured for money, it doesn’t sound right in any way whatsoever nor should it. We need to do all we can to help animals as well as those paid so poorly to do the “dirty work.” We need to do all we can to make sure we avoid purchasing anything that has the word fur on the tag unless the word “fake” is in front of…

Considering that the Royal family contributes in killing animals for showing their “splendor” and “grandiosity” even in their guards clothing, we notice that “animal rights” is still a neglected problem. Despite the fact that these unprotected animals are slaughtered for a selfish human desire, that can easily be substituted with other supplements, the way that the animals are treated and killed vary from the most indecent to the most gruesome.…

Most factory farmed animals lives end in a torturous death; they are beaten or cut open and left to die slowly in agony. Most of the meat consumed in America is yielded form factory farming. Because state and federal laws in the United States do not support nor enforce laws that protect factory farmed animals against cruelty, it is indeed a crisis. At least thirty seven states in the US have changed laws against animal cruelty in farming practices to exempt common farming practices (Carlson).…

Around the globe, 95% of animal skins come from fur industries and factories. Animals are kept in small confined wire cages that hurt their paws and cause significant injuries. Minks are the most common animal in the industry used for their fur, like Peta said “The most commonly farmed fur-bearing animals are minks, followed by foxes. Chinchillas, lynxes, and even hamsters are also farmed for their fur.” (What’s Inside Fur Industry) Foxes come a close second. 58% of the industries are in Europe, 10% are in North America and they others are scattered across the world, but they are mainly in Asia. In Peta’s fur farm issue, they state that “... the methods used on fur factory farms are designed to maximize profits, always at the expense of the animals.” (Animal Fur Farming) Fur farm animals are abused, with little to eat and drink, and have burning lungs and eyes from the ammonia of other animal’s urine and feces.…

Across the globe, animals of all varieties are being exploited for their flesh, fur and produce. How would you feel if your pets were subjected to such cruelty? Animals are poisoned, stabbed and crammed in cages to be tested on; medical research, educational purposes, drug and chemicals, and cosmetics and household products are some of the main reasons why they are put through such torture. Even though there may be some ‘valid’ reasons for conducting and carrying out such inhumane activities, too many people stand behind large companies and support their ‘valid’ reasons for doing so without having full awareness of what pain and suffering the animals are subjected to during the testing process.…

If someone hears about puppies being caught to make coats for fashion they might think about the Disney villian ‘Cruella DeVille’ and probably not stop to entertain the thought that it just might be true. Well, it is. The fur trading industry is alive and kicking every day and every night. All types of animals are being murdered to make fur, from regal tigers to little hamsters and, most horrifyingly, domesticated cats and dogs. Some animals have even become endangered by fur trading companies and are getting pushed closer and closer to extinction. The animals are horribly treated from the day they are born untill the day they are slaughtered by the fur farms all around the world. Many countries have taken out bans and laws to prohibit the act of fur farming and/or trading, but it still happens and there are even loop-holes that countries are finding in order to sell their furry product. The fur industry breaks many of the laws are harldy ever reprimanded. They even go as far as to mislabel the fur they produce so it stays withn the boundaries of the law. Many things can be done to take action against the fur companies and PETA is leading that race and has already accomplished a lot. The production of fur is a literal waste of energy and most importantly it is morally wrong and incredibly cruel; just overall deplorable.…

To clarify, animal cruelty or animal abuse/neglect is classified as inflicting suffering or damage upon a non-human animal for purposes other than self-defense or survival. Examples of such abuse are hunters who leave their traps and the animals caught suffer for days before succumbing to exposure, shock, bleeding to death, and death by other predators. These traps can also capture “non-target” animals such as endangered species and dogs and they die in the place of the prey intended. Also for our clothes such as gloves and leather clothing, the animals are skinned our boiled alive for the material to be completely durable. Eighteen red foxes are killed to make fur coats and fifty five minks are killed just to make one mink coat. Also, more than half the fur in the U.S comes from China who bludgeoned, hanged, and bled to death many cats and dogs for their fur (113 Facts About Animal Cruelty). How many animals have died for…

Animals are looked upon as just food, fiber, research and labor. Dogs are companions, pigs are bacon, what’s the difference? We all have an idea of what animal cruelty is but how much are you truly aware of this harmful abuse? Everyday animals are being beaten, neglected, and forced to struggle for survival. They are sometimes left in unsanitary conditions with no food or water, they have little hope as they live their days without the compassion they deserve. Some are found and rescued given the chance to experience how great life and humans can be; others aren't so lucky. Animal abuse affects us in many ways: it’s bad for our animals; it affects not only the animal but those who witness it. These animal abusers are criminals. To grow as a nation we must fight for these abused animals’ rights. It is up to us to speak for the animals that lack a voice, who will, if we won’t?…
