Fantastic Four Movie Analysis

We are in a day and age now where the term or label nerd and geek are more of a social norm rather than a derogatory term for certain people. There is a huge movement with fantasy and sci-fi becoming more and more popular within the last couple of years. With this being said the movie market is a perfect example of a market that is flooded with these more action packed sci-fi and comic book films to a point almost every other month is a new film that follow something that falls under these criteria. The Fantastic Four movie which came out in in early August of 2015. This film was a remake of the fantastic four series that were released in the early 2005. This film was directed by Josh Trank who is a new director to the scene and after watching this movie it certainly shows a little. Trank was accompanied by Miles Teller, Michael B Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell as the main “four” that make up the fantastic four. Teller who is known for his performance in Whiplash and Jordan in his more recent movie in Creed are the more famous of the bunch. With a budget of 120 million this was a pretty expensive movie to make but unfortunately the movie only made a gross of 56 million (IMDB). When Johnny Storm is introduced he is street racing and eventually he gets into an accident which causes him to get picked up by his Dad. It shows how Johnny is more of the daredevil of the team but at the same time they story tries to draw people in by making Johnny absolute hate his dad for no apparent reason. Like legitimately no reason at all but for some reason Johnny just hates his dad and further down the line they never ever explain why.
