Family Persuasive Speech
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like if you found out one of your family member has been killed by a crazy person? Well imagine that one of your closest family member is gone forever, and it’s all because of one person. Someone that decided to kill your family member for no apparent reason. Would you like that person to be put on bail, not have any fines for what he did or be killed the for what he did and what damage he might have caused to your family? The 8th amendment “excessive bail shall not be required”. Being put in jail is a punishment for what that person did and they deserved. No one should feel sorry for that person, so they shouldn’t be getting bail and be let out loose. Say there was a guy and he killed one of his friends

Criminal defendants have several constitutional clauses that protect defendants from excessively severe or uncommon punishments. Most of these restrictions can be found in the Eighth Amendment. The Eighth Amendment states that in a criminal case, “excessive bail shall not be required”, “excessive fines shall not be imposed”, and “cruel and unusual punishment shall not be inflicted”. This is important because it restricts the court from issuing a punishment that is not fitting for the crime.…

The 8th amendment is not as important as some of the other amendmendments, but is still very important and keeps the country under control. The 8th amendment does not allow excessive bail, excessive fines imposed, and cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. It is very important that this amendment doesn’t get taken away because it protects the country from total chaos and a potential tyranny. I wrote this speech for today to spread awareness on possibly losing this amendment. My goal is to explain why losing this amendment is dangerous and why it is important that the country keeps it. One important part of the 8th amendment is the prohibition on excessive bail.…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…
