Failure To Change Is Analysis
Everyone experiences failure at some point in their life. I believe the way you react to failure is what separates the winners from the losers. You can choose to stay down and accept that you have failed, or you can get up and try again and learn from what your mistakes were. John Wooden once said “Failure isn’t fatal, but failure to change is”. If you examine the stories of many celebrities, almost everyone had to overcome some form of failure to rise to the level they are at now. I have experienced failure in sports, competitions and school, but the moment that sticks out to me was in my freshman science class. The class was a cross between chemistry and physics and it was confusing for me. I had never had a class as close to as challenging as this freshman science class. Never before had I struggled in a class. All through middle school I took the notes, paid attention, did the homework, and got the A's in every …show more content…
The next day, I stayed after school with my science teacher and we talked about what went wrong. He asked me to talk with him before the next test about any potential questions I had because he said that I had really only messed up on one concept on the first test. Unfortunately for me, it was one of the most important concepts from that unit. The day before the next test, once again I stayed after and discussed any questions. I felt pretty good once again on test day, and this time when I got the grade back I got a 90. Once that was scaled, I ended up with a 95. Ever since then, whenever I have struggled with a topic I have learned to ask teachers or anyone with knowledge that I do not have. This has made me the successful person that I am because before this class, I would try to answer my questions myself by finding resources online. Now, I will ask teachers for help instead which has helped me learn more relative information and get better grades in

Failure is the state of not meeting an objective, and is normal for people to face throughout there life. I can speak on experience an event that had happened this past summer. After finals when my school had sent out final report cards, it was sad to see that my final average in my US History course did not meet the requirements to continue to the next grade. From there I had two options: to go to summer school and pass so that I may continue school at the academy or transfer schools and repeat my junior year of high school. With these two options I decided that it would be best to go to summer school and put all I had into the class so that I may pass. Sadly this failure had affected my life more than expected. I could no longer take part…

For some people it takes forever to figure out that failure is not always a bad thing, while at the time it may seem like the end of the world. “We are all potentially capable of any human act.” (Roth 39). Even the most successful of people have failed at something at least once in their lives. Maybe consider though, that failure was what brought them back up to the best, hardest working person that they could be and it did not take long for them to retrieve what they had lost and made it ten times better!…

Failures should be sought after and not be concealed by our own ego; in fact, Thoreau, upon reflecting his future death, realized how he did not wish to be confined. In my own experience, I have also discovered this idea and the knowledge dawns on me whenever I reflect upon myself, while underneath the celestial night sky. The discovery was early on in my life, around 15, that I learnt to search for my own failures and not ignore them, but encourage them. Nevertheless, this may seem like an exhausting way of life, granted it has worn itself on me a few times, however it eventually grows to be looked at as an embarrassing starting point of an ability or perspective, which later can grow to a substantive experience.…

I experienced failure when I had a singing audition at LaGuardia High School for a chance to be accepted into the school. However, although I did not get into the school, resulting in a failure, I refused to have the result have a negative effect on me. This failure affected me in the most positive way. It showed me that I needed to practice more on my vocals and techniques. Over the years I have built up my confidence and learned proper singing techniques. When singing I no longer a shy voice, but I sing as if I were the one to write the song, strong and powerful. From this experience I learned numerous things. It is okay to fail at things as long as you know the reasons why you failed. By knowing those reasons you would not cause the same mistakes again.…

Failure, when pertaining to human achievement is the act of not reaching success. Failure, though, in its own right is just an idea because as Winston Churchill once said, “ Success is not final, failure is not final; it is the courage to continue that counts.” This is a lesson I learned at the end of my freshman year of high school. Freshman year wasn’t my best year academically, athletically, or socially. I wasn’t specifically failing in any of those areas, but I released at the end of year how strikingly mundane I had been when I thought I should have been exceling. I beat myself up, considering anything less than my expectations a failure. I wanted to give up and not care. The weird thing is though, is that this mishap I had didn’t detour…

There many events in my life that have been bad at that time but only a few turned out to actually be for the best. One of the few events that actually turned out to be for the best was my first experience of a big failure. It is said that only with failure a person could learn and grow and in this event this happened to be true. Pre-Calculus is known in being a challenging course and so were the tests given. On one test I felt that studying wasn’t necessary and that a good result will come without having any practice or reviewing. It turned out that I failed the test horrible and it brought my grade down to an F-.…

An experience that makes me proud during my first year of school was failing. It was a wake-up call, a realization that I could overcome a difficult obstacle due to the mistakes I had made. Therefore, I dedicated all my time to make-up all the classes I received low grades in. I pushed myself to persevere and not become a high school drop-out; I refused to be labeled a failure. I worked twice as hard in the classes I had received low grades; so when I was taking them again I would pass with a better grade I would be satisfied with. I managed my time efficiently to give myself enough time for each class and receive help when I asked certain teachers who offered tutoring. I took advantage of all extra credit assignments when offered, I believed…

A time when I experienced extreme failure was when I was in my sophomore year of high school. When I started the year, I had the mindset of, “This is going to be easy. I’m not going to sweat it.” Reason being, in my freshman year, I passed all my classes easily and I thought the next school year would be the same. I was in for a rude awakening by then. It was my first year starting an AP class and I heard stories that it was going to be easy if one paid attention in class. As the first semester went, it was a struggle already. I had easily underestimated the workload and found myself barely passing with a C. I have the type of personality where I put a lot of pressure on myself and stress out easily; as one can imagine, I was very hard on myself.…

My first semester of high school math, failed. All I wanted to do was sit down and admit defeat, nothing I could do could save me from continuing to tumble down from this spot. Later that week I got called down to the guidance councilor, we discussed my problems and ways to possibly fix the mess I was in. I came out of that office with a new hope. That night I talked to my parents about getting a tutor to help me in my grades. Both of them happily agreed and I started getting tutored. With the help of my tutor I managed to pass the second semester of Algebra…

Failure is inevitable, everyone at some point in their lives has faced failure. The greatest athletes in history fail, but it is what you do to overcome this failure that truly shows how determined you are and how bad you truly want it. Michael jordan was cut from his high school team. He used this failure as motivation and overcame the adversity faced and put in the work that others weren't willing to do and turned into one of the greatest basketball players in history. This just shows you that failure is only motivation and can be used by some people who want to be successful bad enough to put all of the hard work in. I have failed at some points during my life and have worked hard to get through it. When I played baseball in middle school I would do my best and overcome failure from previous games.…
