Explain Why I Want To Be A Naval Academy
I seek a United States Naval Academy (USNA) nomination because I want to be engaged in the structured and rigorous environment the academy provides its students. I have always been the sort of person who embraces challenges, and I believe USNA will be a good challenge for me both academically, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have always been the person to thrive under pressure, and this challenge will help me become stronger as a person and a more effective leader.

I knew since I was young that I wanted to be a member of the United States Navy. In that regards, I have done my best to seek and take hold of opportunities that would help prepare me for my chosen career. I have never settled for mediocrity on my part and strive to do my best at everything that is put in front of me. Coupled with my desire to lead, the ability to take initiative, and willingness to learn and I believe I have what it takes to be a Navy officer.

Not only will I be ready to lead and be led, but I will show dedication to my work and an appreciation for all under my command. I will assist my colleagues in anyway that I can and I will not be afraid to look for help if I require it.
