Explain The Three Components Of The Criminal Justice System
The three main components of the criminal justice system are law enforcement, courts, and corrections. The police maintain public order, investigate crime, and ensure that communities are safe by enforcing the law and providing emergency services. The courts regulate fair trials for the individual(s) that the police took into custody to determine innocence or guilt making sure the law is maintained. Lastly the correctional agencies provide a safe place for sentences to be carried out until offenders have rehabilitated enough to go back into the community. These three components may conflict because individuals working within the system still do not share the same goals, political views and personal values causing the whole systems to not be
