Explain the Legal and ethical issues in relation to the use of information. The explanation needs to include how the business complies with current legislation and how they deals with ethical issues by means on policies and codes of practice.
Legal issues:

Presenting a couple of situations in which Hugo boss has to cope with legal issues.
For instance: Hugo Boss does not use its market position to obtain advantages for itself by dictating prices or refusing to supply goods.
When a company has gathered information they should keep it for themselves.

Competition law, known in the United States as antitrust law, is law that promotes or maintains market competition by regulating anti-competitive conduct by companies.

For example, a well-known example of a cartelisation in the Netherlands was called the 'building fraud' in the 90s.
Big companies made themselves mutual prohibited price fixing.
This way the contract giver paid too much for their construction contracts.
They also divided tasks among themselves.
This gave no chance for other companies to enter the same market.

Another example:
Dutch mobile operators KPN, Vodafone and T-Mobile made Price agreements for years.
According whistle-blowers, the telecom companies in the Netherlands where making agreements for years, they would stay in contact throughout alternating and unregistered prepaid cards and providers gave signals by saying certain code words in the media.
Beside that drinks, fairs and conferences where also relatively inconspicuous moments to define a common strategy.
Ethical issues

Use of email
Many companies ( like Hugo Boss ) use e-mails. They e-mail their customers to confirm the order that the customers have ordered. Because it is free and easy to use. The e-mail usually goes quickly to the other people when you send it.
