Explain How Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Actions speak louder than words. This is one aphorism that every person has heard as a child, but are actions really louder? Actions scream compared to spoken words because people can say anything they want and put forth no effort; after all, words are just words. People that prove they really mean what they say through their actions are found to be more likeable and trustworthy people. People use words to lie and deceive, but actions show their true colors. Similarly, the more actions there are, the more evidence there is to prove words as genuine or fabricated. In this day and age, actions are required to confirm whether one can be trusted or not. Many people say they have multiple friends, but do they really? The Merriam-Webster Dictionary states that the definition of a friend is, “a person who has a strong liking for and trust in another person; a person who helps or supports something.” It is easy for a person to say that they trust another and that they care for them; however, if that person isn’t there for the other in his or her time of need, are they really a friend? This doesn’t mean that they are a bad person; it just illustrates that they want people to believe they are something they are not. It does no good to deceive others, because eventually the lies will catch up to the culprit. There are many indicators of drug-using, but that doesn’t keep users from saying they have never used drugs. Even though they may be a good person, they are not only known as a drug user, but also a liar. Their actions speak much louder than their words do, causing many people to stay away and avoid having them in their lives. Actions can really show one’s true colors because they cannot be as easily manipulated as

Lying is a part of everyday life for many people. Everyone has lied in his or her lives before and sometimes it hurts people, however, sometimes it doesn’t. There are many different reasons why people lie. There are also different types of lies. People tell small “white lies” maybe to stop embarrassment or to not hurt someone’s feelings. Whether it be to protect a friend, boost one’s confidence, gain a reward or raise or just to bother a peer, lies are dropped everywhere. Lying, although normally portrayed as a negative influence on society, is used for a number of reasons. In particular lying may be used when someone becomes too hesitant to tell the truth, for fear of a response they would deem unenjoyable. Someone may lie to begin rumors; for a better feeling of self-esteem upon themselves or an associated clique. Even a body as huge and widespread as the government lies daily, whether it be for the greater good or not. Before someone reluctantly shuts out lying because it is deemed harmful and toxic to relationships among others, they must first take a step back and view the picture from an open-minded…

People tend to not think about the effects of their actions or words; however, both can have a profound effect on others. Words can be twisted, but actions remain the same forever. In my experience, the majority of individuals do not understand how deeply others are affected by their words and actions. Actions, as with words, cannot be taken back: therefore, favorably utilizing them is important, since they can both change another person’s trust. Actions and words are both powerful tools in the human toolbox; however, actions are louder than words, since actions cannot be altered.…

Have you ever said something to someone you didn't mean to? Even though words hurt people emotionally , Actions speak louder than words because they can show that you don't like someone and they can show that you are sorry . Actions can show someone that you are sorry for what you did. Actions show that you are actually sorry because anyone can say, but it doesn't mean they are. Actions can be more powerful than words because, you can say you are going to do something but don't do it, and another way actions can be more powerful is that you can say something to someone and it not bother them , but when you do something to them it can have a bigger impact on their life. Actions are more powerful because, you can say your are going to do something but don't do it, like when this one kid said he was going to beat up my friend , but he ended up not doing it, or like when this guy owed me money and he said he was going to pay me back but he didn’t. Another reason why actions can be more powerful than words is that you can say something to someone and it not have an impact on them, like someone can say they love you…

The word friend means exactly what it is, just a word. The pure substance behind the word no longer bares any true meaning and feeling behind it. I have learned to limit the use of the word and can only call a select few a true friend. Growing up I thought I was popular because I had so many friends. However little did I know that instead of calling these people friends, I should have substituted the word for acquaintances, or in the future outlook of it all, maybe even enemies. A friend is supposed to be there for you through thick and thin. Friends stick by your side no matter what and have your best interest in hand. There for, these people I considered friends, were not my friends, but bad influences.…

“Actions speak louder than words” is an old proverb with a deep hidden meaning inside. If looked through, it is clear that deeds can show more than what you say as not deliberately they give a true picture of one’s intentions. An action defines a person as people act upon their values. Action can also reveal a person’s desire, motivation and meanings. You can say a thing a million times but unless you show it, it cannot be proved.…
