Examples Of Maturity In Romeo And Juliet
Maturity is defined as one’s journey to being fully developed; full-grown. William Shakespeare knows that as he inquired the growth of Romeo Montague through his famous playwright Romeo and Juliet. Although the story takes place over the short course of four days, Shakespeare writes a story within a story. One that takes more time to evaluate. Romeo matures more because he comes to terms with what real love is, and he sacrifices everything.

Romeo comes to terms with what real love is. When introduced to Romeo, he presents himself with a depressive vibe. He is in love with a woman he cannot have. Rosaline. A nun, sworn to her sisterhood. Though he has never spoken a word to her, Romeo claims to be so very deeply in love with Rosaline

    Romeo: The son of Montague, Romeo is first introduced to us as a sad, melancholic, apathetic youth. His reason for sadness is universal; Rosaline his love will not return his affections.
