Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare is a tragic story about two lovers from rivaling families meet and are forced to commit suicide A hallmark of comedy is exaggeration, Romeo and Juliet is filled with exaggerations as well as hyperboles. For example, a form of exaggeration is when Romeo says in line 120, “So I fear; the more is my unrest.” How this is a form of exaggeration is that he is saying that the more he fears he feels like he is going to die. In reality living in fear can’t really kill you, it’s what you do because of the fear. Another thing is on page 817 line 120 Romeo says, “Thus with a kiss I die.” This is a form of exaggeration because, like fear, a kiss can not kill you. He said this because he wants to meet someone
