Example Of Anxiety Paper
Anxiety is one problem behavior I am ambivalent about working on is the belief, “I am a terrible writer,” which always causes anxiety during the time I am working on a major writing assignment or taking a test. Being “criticized” by educators since the time I begin to learn the English language, about 22 years ago, I supposed causes the negative self-talk; not smart, a terrible writer will never write a great paper etc. According to Scher (2016), although anxiety is a commonly described “emotion,” she believes there is other suppressed emotion under it, creating a feeling of anxiousness. It is best to find what is making the person feel anxious instead of using the catch-all of “anxiety” to describe what she or he is experiencing. Thus, I truly believe my test anxiety and writing papers comes from my writing/grammar being disapproved always. When school is in session, I usually lose weight, which I cannot afford to lose since I am a very small person due to stress from being anxious about writing …show more content…
This could lead to my failing the course and the thought of falling make me sick. In reality, I could solve almost any problem I encounter or helping people out with their issues. However, I do not use any theory although the way I approached the issues might fit one the many social theories.
For my score to change, I must become aware of how I feel when I am having a negative emotion and name what I am feeling. Thus, I must change the negative talk into a positive talk; I am smart and I am a good writer. I have help many people resolve their issues and I am able to help other without knowing I am using the very theories. Also, the educators are not criticizing me, but they want me to become a better writer. I would not have made it this far if I was not a good writer or smart. Basically, I should back talk the negative thoughts with positive once, but I first must name the
