The way I would describe the benefits of evidence-based nursing to a friend or a family member is that evidence-based practice is a practice that has been examined and proven to work. One of the advantages of evidence-practice is high-quality care which improved the patient outcomes. Another benefit of Evidenced practice is cost savings compared to the practice that is based on trial and error, tradition, and believes. Healthcare organizations can also be a barrier why evidence nursing is not practice. For instance, if there is no administrative support and resources it would be difficult for nurses to know what is new and how to practice the new evidence practice. For evidence-based practice to be successful, organizations and their leaders, have to support the culture of EBP. The practice of Evidenced- based nursing care is essential as it enables nurses to deliver high-quality safer care to patients and the community. EBP also increased continues learning and teamwork.
