I believe that Euthanasia is a civilized method to kill a patient from an incurable and painful disease or an irreversible coma. In today’s society, an argument has been made the Euthanasia is a bad method of taking a person’s life because it’s alleged to be merciless and a heartless approach when taking a living humans life. Arguments that agree with Euthanasia consist of it is a way to relieve extreme pain, reliefs the pain of having a low quality of life, and helps free up medical debt in the future. Seeing a family member or even a close friend suffering from a deadly disease or an extreme pain is heartbreaking. Even knowing the fact that your close friend or family member is closing in on their time, it’s still tragic when that day comes. Euthanasia is legal only in two states; Oregon and Washington State, as well as there is only two other places in the world that Euthanasia is legal in the world. I believe that many think that Euthanasia is a gruesome way to take someone’s life, and that is why it is uncommon in the world. Having a significant understanding of both a good quality of life and a bad quality life is a good aspect in understanding life itself. One may say that they have a “right” to be killed within their unfortunate life. In technicality, they do have a right to not live, and one may ask someone to intentionally kill another. If it has been released in public before hand and people know, you have the right to be prosecuted. That stipulation has been talked about within the years because many would say that it relates to suicide. The key components are that life is so low quality that it’s not worth living anymore and that people are aware that you are leaving this earth. Watching one suffer in agonizing pain is dreadful for the human being. With that being said, being in debt because your loved one only suffered for a couple more weeks can also be dreadful for some. Medical bills and funeral costs can add up in a short amount of time, and debt can kill a remaining family. Using Euthanasia in this situation can be positive in two ways; your loved one wouldn’t have to endure anymore pain and that your medical bill wouldn’t be through the roof. Many say that there is always hope, but seeing your loved one die and meet there maker after many weeks of suffering is sickening for everyone around them. Euthanasia is an unyielding way to relieve extreme pain, reliefs the pain of having a low quality of life, and helps free up medical debt in the future. I would hope that more countries around the world take Euthanasia into consideration.
