Ethical Steward
I consider my current supervisor as an ethical steward. Gavin job title is the Principal Analysis in the office of Collaborative courts. He supervises all of the day to day activates involved with the different specialty courts. This includes but is not limited to managing court staff, creating policy and procedures, and creating a strategic plan to help sustain the county’s collaborative courts. I consider Gavin to be an ethical steward because he works hard to engage all stakeholders in creating a program that is successful. He works very effectively at soliciting buy in from everyone. This is done in a variety of ways for example he conducts quarterly stakeholder work groups, he provides onboarding training to all new stakeholders and he support the use of evidences based performs measure in the programs. Once everyone on the team has a clear understanding of their role, the shared mission and the goals of the team more often then not the team will produce the desired outcomes. These outcomes are usually correlated with the performance beach marks necessary to secure more grants to sustain the program and most importantly treat …show more content…
These qualities demonstrate just some of the values necessary for ethical stewardship as described in the “Strategic human Resource Management as Ethical Stewardship” article by Caldwell, C., Truong, D. X., Linh, P. T., & Tuan, A. (2010). This article also discussed the power that a good ethical steward has over the organization he/ she works for.
