Essay on Romulus My Father
Essay
My father and I have an extremely close relationship different to any other father and son. I respect my father to any extent, I tell him all my secrets and my future aims. I always avoid from making him disappointed. I love him because he cares for me; he ensures I get a superior education and an excellent occupation in the future, so that my life is not difficult. My father takes me on holidays four or five times a year so that I have a pleasant life. My father had a restaurant in the city, but sold it eight years ago, since then he hasn’t been working but buys and sells cars for a living. My father’s role in the house as the man is to ensure my siblings get an extremely well education and an excellent future; he encourages us all to be successful in life, as he made my older brother a very successful business man by the age of twenty one.
My father’s is a very serious man, he is well known for his amazing personality he is respectful to all ages. He loves fishing, soccer, gardening and camping. We usually go fishing on the boat every weekend; we also play soccer at the park. My father’s garden must be astonishing if not he is always fixing it; one of my father’s favourite hobbies is camping. My father worries a lot about his diet and he is always sure that he is healthy by going and getting a blood test every month at our local doctor’s clinic.
My father was born in Lebanon in a poor family he is the oldest one and the only one who didn’t get a chance to have an education, his father passed away at a young age where my father was 14 and was forced to leave school, so he can work for the family. This is why he encourages me to become a pharmacist; he once told me ‘if I had a chance to be educated I would have been a doctor instead of working in a trade or working for someone’. This is what encourages me to be extremely focused in school. I want him to be pleased and proud from me and my aim is to achieve what he had set for me. I will never let him

The most significant factors that shaped identities in "Romulus, My Father" were cultural heritage and connections between individuals. The memoir paints a picture of a true community where every individual is totally accepted no matter their colour, creed mental stability or lack thereof is only possible where each individual is true to themselves, "especially as being truthful about one's identity" to each other, arising from social, cultural, political and historical contexts.…

We read To Kill a Mockingbird in English class. Many people have their own opinion about Atticus, one of the main characters in this book, and the way that he acts. My personal opinion about Atticus is the way that he treats his kids and carries himself is awesome! He is a admirable person in terms of parenting. Atticus did many admirable things in life ranging from deciding to do the right thing and defend Tom Robinson to giving his kids advice about life at such a influential age. Even though Atticus may have made few mistakes as a parent, in the long run he was a great father.…

Wallace Stegner stated that ,‘home is a notion that only nations of the homeless fully appreciate and only the uprooted comprehend.’ Popular culture provides a stable ground for the connection between a generation, a metaphorical threshold for the students of todays society. With the proliferation of texts relating to popular culture, those undergoing the higher school certificate can associate prescribed material to the world in which they exist. This is why I propose as contemporary, supplementary texts the relational biography ‘Romulus my Father’, the picture book ‘Woolvs in the Sitee’ by Margaret Wild and the short film ‘More’ by Mark Osbourne.…

My Dad is an extremely hard working person. He is always up and ready for the day before anyone else in my family and He is also the last person up always working on His projects. Just as much of a harder worker He is my Dad is also twice, even three times nicer than. My Dad is the most loving person I know, He has been extremely supportive in all my endeavors in life. He always reminds me of how much He loves me and care for me, He also sacrificed so much of His life to give me a better opportunity. He works selflessly to provide for my brothers and sisters all our necessities and goes the extra mile to ensure that we have everything we need to be successful. He always is there for me when I need Him. He would literally drop whatever He is doing just to hear me rant or if I need a shoulder to cry on. He never belittles me or my problems and insecurities. He constantly reaffirms me of my potential when I feel just like garbage. He is always telling me I am destined for greatness, I am priceless and worth more than the world to Him. Even when I hear Him tell me these things over and over I believe Him because He is extremely genuine. It is actually because of Him that I want to help people with my life. He always told me to never be greedy or money hungry, but that I should use my wealth to help the poor. He never looks down on people in a worse position than Him, He always calls other people our brothers and sisters.…

As we know in a family, there always have a stern father and a compassionate mother. However, my father is not that stern. He always can meet all my requirements and give me the best things. Every time when I heard “Father” by Chopstick Brothers, I am touched and my mood is heavy. The whole song describes a story that is similar to me. When I was third grade my father came to America, I have not seemed him until I came here. Even though my father was far away at that time, I still could feel the love from him. My father still gave a call every day, although China has time difference with the United States. No matter how tired he was. He was cared about me and never forgot my birthday. Until the day when I saw my father in John F. Kennedy International Airport, I could not believe that person is my father. I saw there had grey hair in my father’s hair. I wanted to cry at that time, but I…

“If there is one thing I want you learn from our time together, the most important lesson I could ever teach you as your father, is to never give up. When you’re all alone in life and it seems like nothing's going your way, you just need to keep being yourself and keep doing your thing, and people will notice how great you are. In the worst most awful time of your life my best piece of advice to you is just keep going, never give up on yourself and the results will surprise you every time. I guarantee it.” Words like this haven’t been told to me many times in my life. Throughout these first 17 years of my life, ever since my brother and I were young, we haven’t been with our dad constantly, I have lived with my father for probably 40%-30% of…
