Essay On Proctor
University of the People requires students to take proctored exams to maintain it’s integrity and accreditation. Proctored exams require a proctor to verify the student's identity and to observe the student while they are taking an exam. In my mind a proctored exam is just like taking a course in a building where someone would oversee your exam.

When selecting a proctor the student has two option; a proctor who is physically present with you during the exam or a hosted proctor. The following rules must be followed while selecting a proctor per the University of the People Proctor Instructions

•Be at least 21 years old

• Be a reputable person of integrity (e.g. local official, supervisor at work, religious figure, etc.)

•Cannot be a relative of the student, a student at UoPeople or an applicant.

•Cannot have a conflict of interest or have any vested interest in the student's grade or performance on his/her exam.

•Must have adequate and reliable access to the Internet, including email services.

If you chose to use a hosted proctor you may use an online service called ProctorU. Keep in mind that the proctor you chose, if not using ProctorU, must be someone who does not charge you a fee for them to proctor the exam.

You will need to provide the name and contact information for your proctor or enter the information for ProctorU, this information can be found in the .Proctored Exams – Instructions to the Student. I am planning to use ProctorU. In order to use ProctorU students must create an account. I created my account and performed their system test. At this time I am ready to register for my second semester. Once I have started my second semester I will be able to log in to ProctorU and schedule my exam

The person who is in charge of the student has to be a reputable person and has to apply as a proctor in advance. Often in true tests of moral character where people are tempted to deceive, be dishonest, or take advantage of each other, there are few who truly succeed. The story of The Crucible gives one of the strongest tests of morality, where the truly ethical are punished and those of low morale are free to live their lives. The Crucible very well represents that when a situation is life or death human decency crumbles rapidly. The Crucible takes place in Salem, Massachusetts where religion and corruption are rampant, and soon two girls fall ill unexplainably and it sparks ideas of evil and witchery in the town. This results in the citizens of the town pointing fingers at those who appear to have dealings with the devil, which inspires grave misfortune for many. Throughout The Crucible one character John Proctor remains remarkably honest, ethical, he fought for others, and what he stood for even when it meant his life.…

Human nature is the common feelings, characteristics, and behaviors of humans. One characteristic of human nature is fear. Humans fear the things they can not understand and when things happen that no one can explain, fear takes over and spreads like wildfire. “The Crucible,” a play written by Author Miller to express the panic and fear of witchcraft in the city of Salem, Massachusetts in the 1600s, follows the lives of multiple Salem residents and shows how the Salem Witch Trials affected their lives.
