Having younger siblings is a particularly enlightening experience. You are able to comfort them when they are sad, laugh with them, play with them, answer their many questions and guide them on the correct path to prosperous and happy lives. However, sometimes there are some barriers an older sibling just can not break. At the age of eight, my younger brother who is now eleven years old was diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, at that point in time, the only thing I really knew about this particular disorder was that it was connected to symptoms some would say describes a “Problem Child”. Since then, I have been on a constant journey to research this behavioral disorder and find information in regards to what can be done. Antisocial personality disorder is characterized by breaking the law, acting impulsively, a disregard for the safety and feelings of others,etc. It is diagnosed after close psychiatric evaluation. This allow the health professional to determine how severe the person’s symptoms are. Antisocial disorder happens to be one of the hardest conditions to treat. This is due to the fact that many antisocial patients do not seek help themselves, probably because they feel no remorse or guilt. Therefore, they see nothing wrong with their actions. This disorder is also connected to substance abuse and other anger disorders in which can also be accessed upon close evaluation.
