Blitzkrieg Blitzkrieg, meaning Lightning War, was a military tactic used by Nazi Germany during WWII. It was used with the intentions of a swift and forceful victory. It was designed in by the germans to create disorganization among their enemies. They would force through them with mobile forces and logically concentrated weapon fire.This was successful for many reasons but one of them is because it was unexpected.
