The paramedics quickly park the hospitals truck near the emergency entrance and take out the child immediately. They rush them through the double doors, the parents want to come with them to see what's wrong with the their 3 year old daughter, but the receptionist stops them and tells them they have to sit down and wait just like everyone else. The mother starts crying and the father tries to calm her, she starts crying even louder because she's scared. As a child, I always pondered on what I wanted to become when I became older and in sixth grade I was determined to become a Pediatric Nurse. I adore helping children and parents and working at a hospital has been a dream of mine. Along the way of deciding what I should become I had no ideas such as becoming a lawyer, neonatal nurse or an actress. I soon realized that a few of my future dreams were unrealistic or did not interest me as much now as they did when I was younger. I believe that becoming a pediatric nurse is an opportunity to interact with patients, treat their illnesses or condition and is a job in which every day is different from the one before. Becoming a Pediatric Nurse is a way to interact with patients of all ages, I adore working with children and a pediatric nurse is someone who interacts with children on a daily basis. These nurses treat several illnesses and should not be intimidated because this could cause the patient to panic. Pediatric Nurses are to be encouraged in any situation and make the child feel secure and carefree.
