Difficulties of Learning a New Language
Nowadays, both students and people in business are required to have ability of using a second language. Learning a second language is not easy but it is becoming an important ability.
Some learn a foreign language for practical reasons while others are motivated because of aspirational, intellectual or sentimental reasons. To most people, second language acquisition is a lengthy and exhausting/strenuous process. A general approach taken by most learners is to learn vocabulary and memorize grammar rules. Pronunciation and dual meanings are also very important aspect. Vocabulary and the memorization of grammar are the primary and most important aspects to learn in a new language without these the learner is bound to fail. Many new learners will find it complicated to implement new words into their conversations as well as when they decide to write. They will also find it quite challenging to remember the new language's grammar rules, and being able to figure out if a sentence sounds appropriate. In my opinion these could be very challenging obstacles. Watching movies, reading, and listening to conversation of native speakers can benefit. Learning the language's grammar will help in writing skills just as giving the learner a depth understanding of the language. To my mind, speaking is the most difficult part of learning any new languages. You may be shy and not confident to speak, you may be afraid of being mocked, you may have no one

around to practice with and finally when you speak with someone you should be quick to give a response, which is stressful. But the only way that can be really helpful, is putting all these problems away and start to practically practice it. Implementing these points the pronunciation will only improve until you reach your full potential. Another key point that is important in managing to learn a new language is being able to have the ability of organizing your thoughts in a whole new language. As human language we express thoughts with words, for an example we usually receive thoughts in our heads that is in our mother language, so it becomes difficult when we need to transition. This aspect can be very detrimental to a learner. As soon as the person has the ability to maneuver through this they will be on the road to their final product. This can only improve by practicing the new language in conversations. There are many things that are to be learned when it comes to learning a whole new language, the aspects are endless. The experience could be a long difficult process but in the end the feeling is grandiose. Having the ability to communicate with other people of other languages is probably a wonderful feeling. Using what you learn towards a work field, education or just helping someone translate. Practicing the methods of vocabulary, grammar rules, organization of the thoughts and dual meanings the language barrier will slowly be minimized. I plan to learn a new language and I have given myself a blueprint to approach it in my near future.

As I finish reading ‘The Odyssey’, story that is told by homer a poet who loved to tell stories of the gods and all the adventures and journeys the heroes went through. Odysseus the man who is astute and cares nothing but to get home to Ithaca where there, lies his kingdom, life, wife, and son who he had left when he was just born. While some might argue that Odysseus is not a hero, his decidedly heroic actions outweigh all of his faults because he is dishonest, self-centered, disloyal and disrespectful. He doesn’t care if he puts his man in danger he just wants to come back to Ithaca.…

Currently in my classroom I have a German native. His name is Lucas and he is fifteen months old. His mother is German and his father is an American soldier. Both of his parents speak English and German. So at home they communicate with him in both languages. I talk to his mother and father on a daily basis to find out new words in German so that I can talk to him in both languages. I have discovered that some words that I do say in German he really does respond to them better, than if I would tell him to do something in English.…

Academic writing seems to be a huge challenge for most international students. Students usually suffer from many problems such as grammar, vocabulary, organization and so on. According to Harris’s(2010) study of argumentative essay writing, he found that there are many differences between native and non-native students in academic writing, while some people claim that writing styles and conventions are the biggest problem (Sondek,2008 cited in Linn, 2009). This text began with analysing some arguments from the studies by Linn and Harris, and then combines some opinions by myself. After that suggests that grammar, vocabulary and different writing styles are significant problems for overseas students. It then claims that writing styles with conventions are much harder than others.…

After the students have learned English for almost 10 years, I strongly believe my students have acquired some vocabulary or words to speak but they just do not know how to get started. The words and phrases that they have are not sort out or organised. Thus they were unable to make use of them to speak or in their oral presentation. I also believe arranging the words and phrases in a mind map would make them see order or flow.…
