English Level 3 Unit 2 D2
To succeed in my task, I used my existing knowledge of English grammar, syntax and vocabulary to explain a subject trough a video. My knowledge of English allowed me to make sure that there were very few mistakes in my video so the target audience (future secondary 5 students) would be able to understand the relayed information. I used my knowledge gained in Art class about colours and what attracts the eye to make my video as visually interesting as possible. I also used what I learned in last year’s interdisciplinary project on WWII to better understand the context in which the program. What I knew of the economic crisis of 1929, WWI and WWII, learned in secondary 4 history class, also helped me understand the political, social and economical …show more content…
I didn’t know that the Lebensborn program influenced the post-war lives of the many kids that were born, unknowingly, part of the project. When I read about the children who had to grow up ashamed and bullied because of their origins or even locked up in asylums so they wouldn’t have children themselves, I was shocked. In my head, it made sense they shouldn’t be blamed because they didn’t choose who their parents were, nor did they have any control on what they did. This is probably the thing, of all the ones I learned with this project, that made me realize that justice and equality aren’t always part of our society, even though they should be. One shouldn’t be blamed for someone else's acts if they weren’t knowingly and voluntarily taking part in them, it’s called justice. Everyone has the right to be treated equally, no matter their origins, that’s called equality. I also realized the importance of equality when I was reading about young girls, about my age, that had kids with strangers so they could spread the “Aryan race” or the married SS officers who would cheat on their wives so they could do their duty. It made me understand that people who think they are superior, or inferior in some cases, do stupid things as a result of their believes and it’s another reason why equality is important in

    1. Microsoft is aware that research was published at a security conference proving a successful attack against X.509 digital certificates signed using the MD5 hashing algorithm. This attack method could allow an attacker to generate additional digital certificates with different content that have the same digital signature as an original certificate. The evolution of the Ethernet standards will have a large effect on data storage requirements. As the speeds of these connections continue to increase, users and businesses will be able to transfer larger files faster and will required larger data storage to accommodate the increased demand of resources. Thirty years ago, when the standard was only 10MB, there was nowhere near the need for the data storage capacity as there is today, with the current standard being 100 Gbit, with 1 Tbit on the way. Data storage wasn’t as high in demand before because it would take an extremely long amount of time to transfer large files, but as the speed increases, so will the demand.…

My name is Destiny Knott, my family and I have recently moved into a house overlooking the park in the neighborhood of Park Hall. I would like to draw your attention to some of the lewd and lascivious acts that take place daily in Park Hall. On many separate occasions up to several times a day, I have noticed from my window or front porch a crowd of undesirable individuals sitting on the benches. Numerous times these individuals have been seen drinking alcohol and carrying on very loudly, using the foulest kind of language. On another occasion my family and I have witnessed a violent fight occur right in front of the park where all of our children play. It is an outrage that our young innocent children should have to listen to and witness such inappropriate displays of behavior.…

Michael Bornstein experienced a life much different than ours. He suffered, persevered, and overcame all the obstacles that stood in his way. When he began his lecture, he talked about his story, and his family’s story. He was born in the ghetto around 1940 and only knew a life after war. His dad was an accountant, and his mom and grandma had little to no education. During his beginning of life, the ghetto (Zarki) was changing from an community to a close community. The dad was the president of a Jewish committee but was also the in between person with the police. As the ghetto became stricter the dad would collect money to hand out 600+ visa’s to save lives of the other Jews, and would bribe other officers to stop sending people to death camps.…

He terrorized the Danes for 12 years, robbing them of Heorot which represented home, royal might, and safety. Finally, he attacked Beowulf and his men with the intent to murder them. Since he murdered dozens of men with no provocation, and showed every indication that he meant to continue doing so, I believe his death was justified.…

“Hate and intolerance are the catalysts for the destruction of a family, of a culture, and a nation”, by Werner Gellert, chair of The New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum and Study Center. (history:www.nmholocaustmuseum.com) It is vital to remember and pass to a new generation the history and lessons of the Holocaust since over 5.7 million Jewish people had their lives taken away by a man who was intolerant of their religion. The largest numbers of victims of the Holocaust were Polish citizens. Adolf Hitler tried to destroy a nation by destroying families who were targeted because of their religion and culture.…
