Eliza Doolittle, Henry Higgins, And Colonel Pickering
The three characters that are going to be compared in this analysis are going to be: Eliza Doolittle, Henry Higgins, and Colonel Pickering. They stay with each other throughout the play, so it is mighty easy to see how they act towards each other. Higgins and Pickering decided to take Liza in and show her how to be a duchess. They not only teach her how to act like one, but they also teach her how to talk like one. Liza is a lower class flower girl, who goes around selling flowers to people to get money. She talks differently than the upper and middle class people. She wants to be taught to act like royalty. She is a very fast learner and doesn’t like it when people are mean to her. She learns how to speak so well that she is able to pass

The writer presents a young adolescent who is in her initial stages of life. Initially, she does not know that she is poor, but from her interactions with Miss Moore and the other rich kids, she becomes aware of her environment. She is however reluctant to accept that she is disadvantaged which a positive character is. It is surprising to note that believes she is the best despite realizing that she is disadvantaged. She portrays a positive character when she says, “aint nobody gonna beat me at nuthin.” She is different from many people who would feel this affects their ego. In the story “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller, there are many dramatis personas that are significant. Two very significant characters in the crucible are Abigail and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is married to John proctor and Abigail throughout the story tries to seduce and have an affair with him. This shows that Elizabeth, however, is better than Abigail because good people are able to identify with her, they fight for proctors love in different ways, and they both drive the plot of good versus evil.…

Mr. Gilberth was one of the main characters in the play; he was the one who kept the family in order. He was a famous efficiency expert, and ran his family that way. Often times Mr. Gilberth would call the kids down to family meetings by blowing his whistle, all of the children had to stop what they were doing, and immediately report downstairs. I really liked Mrs. Gilberth, she tried to keep her husband, Mr. Gilberth in check, and is more reasonable when it comes to the children, she was very kind and gentle with the kids. I think the most important character relationships would be between Mr. Gilberth and his children, because he was the one who made the rules in the house, and disciplined the children. If I were to act in this play, I would want to be Lillian, she would be fun to play because she has a very childish personality, and is obsessed with boys.…

John Proctor is probably the main character of this play. He enters shortly after Mary, Abigail and Mercy discuss the happenings of the night before. He is a very upright character, although has committed an awful sin despite this. He had an affair with Abigail Williams, who is only 17. He is ashamed of this, and clearly shows that he does not want to repeat such an incident in the future. “Put it out of mind, Abby” (page 17). He is strongly committed to his wife, Elizabeth, and is determined to avoid any further contact with Abigail. “I will cut off my hand before I’ll ever reach for you again” (page 18)…
