Elie Wiesel: A Short Story
“When I got down after roll call, I could see his lips trembling as he murmured something.” He said, “ One day you are going to get out of here and start a family.” I had got more angry to a point that I had to separate myself with my father. I became more silent with a blank face every single day. Caught some guards' attention but the guards know they can't do anything or even show a little remorse. One silent night I was laying down just thinking how things used to be before the war against Jews when my family was happy and not separated. After not knowing what happen to rest of my family members just only made my shoulders heavy and difficult time breathing. Day by day I get this feeling to just give up on hope and die. I cried every night hoping to wake up in a home with nothing but joy. I want my father’s words to become a reality, and I start thinking of ideas to escape this hell.
It was many times my father have been going crazy to a point you can see that he very ill. Every night my father scream “Eliezer….Eliezer...tell them not to hit me…. I haven’t done anything…. Why do they keep hitting me?” There was a couple of times other people in the camp and even doctor tells me to just give up on my father. I shed tears …show more content…
Quickly I went to get my father out of his bed and ran to towards the gate. When we almost got there my father started to slow down so I drag him to the gate. And when I got through the gate, my father got caught half through the gate then he pushes me through the gate with a very strong strength that I didn't know he had. I was scared and worried about my father but at the same time my father want this for me so I was running fast as I can to start a new life my father want me to have. Suddenly I heard a gun fire then I couldn't move, couldn't breathe and started crying at the moment I saw straight

    I was sitting with my family at the breakfast table drinking milk and eating a piece of burnt toast; that was when I heard the feint sound of sirens coming from the east end of the block.
