Global and China Electronic Chemicals Industry Report, 2014-2017

Summary
Electronic Chemicals refer to a variety of chemicals and materials used in electronic components, printed circuit boards, consumer electronics and other industrial products. This report focuses on analyzing photoresist & its special chemicals and capacitor chemicals as well as maleic anhydride derivatives used in printed circuit boards, flat panel displays and semiconductors.
1 Photoresist
Photoresist is mainly used for fine graphics processing in PCB, LCD, semiconductor and other areas. In 2013, the global photoresist market scale reached approximately RMB40 billion, mainly held by Japanese, American, South Korean and Taiwanese enterprises. Take PCB photoresist market for example: in 2013, the combined market share of Asahi Kasei, Hitachi Chemical and Taiwan Eternal Chemical in the PCB dry film photoresist market was more than 80%; Taiyo Ink enjoyed a share of more than 50% in the PCB solder mask ink market.
China photoresist market is growing rapidly. In 2013, the share of China PCB photoresist market size in the global total rose to 64.3%; while the share of China LCD and semiconductor photoresist market scale was less than one-third of the world’s total, and the development space is still large. China photoresist market is almost occupied by foreign companies; market share of Chinese counterparts was less than 10%, mainly including photoresist special chemical manufacturer Changzhou Tronly New Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., semiconductor g-line/i-line photoresist producer Beijing Kempur Microelectronics.Inc.

Nitration of 2-benzylpyridine through electrophilic aromatic substitution (EAS) is expected to yield 2-(2,4-Dinitrobenzyl) pyridine, a photochromic product. This reaction was first discovered by Tshitschibabin in 19253, and is frequently used today for a variety of purposes, including use with photo recording media4. Being photochromic means that when exposed to UV light, or when exposed to darkness, the color of the compound changes in response to the presence or absence light. The mechanism for the creation of 2-(2,4-Dinitrobenzyl) pyridine from 2-benzylpyridine, is a basic form of EAS, and is shown in Figure 1, below.…

There are three different major types of spectroscopy techniques covered in our practical, which includes Ultraviolet-Visible Light Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy & Atomic Emission Spectroscopy. The use of spectrophotometry in the analysis of chemicals quantitatively and qualitatively is common, since they’re readily available and generally easy to operate, at the same time giving fairly accurate and consistent results. The choice of instrument depends on the wavelength region of choice, which in turn depends on the nature of analyte, either they are coloured or can be changed into coloured derivatives; whether they contains functional group that absorbs light in the UV or Infrared region; or even other absorbing species that depends on the analyte present in the same phase.…

The underclass photography industry consists of both small and large photography studios aiming to provide current and attractive portraits to kids currently attending school at any grade level between Kindergarten and 11th grade. While there are many competitors in this industry, they can be broken up into two categories. First are the many, quite common photography studios that generally specialize on one or two styles of photography for their products. Then there are the very large and successful photography companies such as Lifetouch and Portrait Innovations that take up a majority of the different style based business. These large companies do not have a small limited amount of styles to specialize in but rather a wide focus of all of the popular styles allowing them to enter any market needed to succeed. Even with the major differences between the two types of competitors there is still one very pressing threat that neither can avoid. That is the growing popularity of personal digital cameras and easy access to formatting and printing resources.…
