Mesopotamia is located in the middle east along the banks of Tigris and Euphrates rivers, while Egypt is located in North/East Africa with the Nile running through it. Both civilizations are different in multiple ways and similar as well. For example, one similarity between Mesopotamian and Egyptian government is that they both relied heavily on the rivers for survival.
