Egg in a bottle
Have you ever tried to put a bigger thing into a smaller mouth’s container? If you
Haven’t, let’s try with me. I’m going to explain the process of a science experiment from the
Beginning to the end through the materials, procedure, results and conclusion.
Firstly, we have to think of an experiment‘s topic which we are interested. After that, make more researches about it. In this case, the one I am interested is egg in a bottle.
Secondly, we have to make a question or problem which we will try to answer at the end of the experiment. For this experiment, my question is what (will) happen when air molecules expand.
Thirdly, created the hypothesis to predict or guess what will happen in this experiment.
Here, I think that air pressure will make the egg fit through the mouth of a bottle.
After we have a topic, question and hypothesis, we can start preparing the materials which are needed in the experiment. In this experiment, we need hard-boiled egg, a glass bottle, piece of paper and matches.
Then, now we can start doing the experiment. The first step is hard boil an egg. Second, take the shell out of the egg. Third, Light a small piece of paper and drop it into the bottle. Last, put the egg on the mouth of the bottle.
The variables in this experiment I are size of egg and size of mouth of bottle. They can be any sizes but mouth of a bottle should be big enough for the egg to go half way through and not all the way through.
After the experiment, we are able to answer the question that we made at the beginning of the experiment by the result we’ve observed. Then, observe again to see if the result is the same with the hypothesis? However, I observed that the egg popped into the bottle.
Then, we can show the result of the experiment by making a table and chart. So, reader can understand our experiment easier.
Therefore, we concluded that the fire makes the air molecules move further apart and expand. The pressure pulls

The last jar I filled halfway. One of the full jars I filled with 12 tablespoons of sea salt and mixed it. The other full jar I left with only clear tap water. The jar that was half full I mixed in six tablespoons of sea salt. I put an egg in each jar. After I put the egg in the jar that was half full, I filled the rest with clear tap water so that the bottom half was salt water and the top half was clear tap water. I Recorded the results of each jar and took a picture of each. The jar that was only water: the egg went straight to the bottom. The jar that was all salt water: the egg floated on the top. The jar that was half salt water, half tap water: the egg submerged but stayed perfectly between the salt and tap water. If I were to do this project again in the future, I would use multiple mixtures in the water and test which substances were the most dense. Some problems could be that the amount of salt and water can vary and the size and weight of the eggs can also vary. To fix these problems, I could use the same egg for all of the mixtures. I could also do exactly the same amount of water and substances put in the…

Obviously I built this device with some prior knowledge to physics and how to make this device successful. I have learned several equations about force, work, power, height, speed, velocity and a lot more. So with force, f=ma, then I can easily discern what the force of the egg will be. Also, since I know all of these things, than I can figure out all of the physics with just the equations. Also I learned, with these things, that if the force of the egg doesn’t have something to fall into, like cotton or balloons, then it will break, because the force needs to be shared or it takes over the egg. With that, I understood a basis of how the device should be.…
