“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity” (Edgar Allan Poe). During his lifetime, Edgar Allan Poe lost many women and family members that he loved very much. As a result of the losses that he had to go through, he lived a very miserable, woeful life. Throughout the years, Poe’s life story became evident through his writings. Poe’s work is written throughout his early years, his middle life, and his later life.
