ESTJ Personality Case Study
After reviewing the data, a person with the ESTJ personality are representatives of tradition and order, and utilize their understanding of what is right and wrong. When ESTJs say they will do something, they keep their word and are very dependable. Being logical thinkers and very organized describe ESTJs. Furthermore, ESTJs see flaws in advance, critique programs in a logic way, monitor to see if the job is completed, and follow through with a step-by-step program. When approached with a problem, ESTJs examine the logical consequences, gather all the facts, and generate all the possibilities, and consider the impact on others. In addition, ESTJs enjoy interacting with people, especially around tasks, traditions, and family traditions. Words that also describe ESTJs may be conscientious, decisive, outspoken, and self-confident. Since work ethic is important to ESTJs, he/she prefers a work environment that provides stability and predictability and the focus is on efficiency. Furthermore, a person with an ESTJ personality may not see the need for change. Not seeing the need for change can pose as a problem for a leader, because if something is not working or not effective, there has to be a change in the plan of action for improvement to occur. In addition, when an ESTJ’s feelings are ignored for a long period of time, an ESTJ person could be overtaken by their feelings and values which could cloud his/her best judgment. Moreover, when faced with great stress, an ESTJ person may feel alone and unappreciated which could cause he/she not to communicate their inner feelings of distress or despair.
