Drunk driving puts your mind and abilities to the test because your body is not physically in the right condition to operate a vehicle. By doing this you're going against Matthew 4:7, which states, "Jesus answered him, It is also written, Do not put the Lord your God to the test." Drunk driving is not only against the law, but against the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church. Brothers and sisters, please be cautious and aware of the decisions you're making and your community as well. As a young Catholic, I have experienced motor vehicle accidents caused by underage drinking in this area. It is dangerous, tempting, and causes you to create a gap between yourself and God. Drinking and driving is a gift put on earth by the almighty God. I mean why wouldn’t it be possible if he didn’t want us to do it? Alcohol is the greatest past time in Earth’s history. One reason a person should not drink and drive is that they face several consequences as a result of their poor decision. The first is that they lose their license. Without a license, they are no longer able to legally drive on the roads. This forces them to rely on family or friends for a ride, or they must utilize public transportation. If using public transit, they now incur the added inconvenience of adhering to a set schedule instead of being able to travel whenever they want.…

when you consume alcohol and choose to get in your car, you are putting other people in danger as well as yourself. If you can’t see while you are driving, that’s a huge problem. You might not see someone, and result in hitting them. If your reflexes are slowed, you can’t react as fast you may need to. You may also be driving way under the speed limit, and that can affect others driving, especially on a freeway. The video “Lives affected” had a lady speaking about her brother. She said to never “get in a car with a drunk driver” and to try your hardest to “prevent someone who is drunk from getting on the road.” If you see someone driving drunk, you should report them. You could be saving a life. There are so many people that have lost their lives because of a drunk driver, or being the one under the influence. When people are drunk their sense of judgement is seriously affected some drunks have saidthey feel like they are better driving drunk than sober. That is a scary thought that people actually feel that way. That means that when they decide to drink and drive they do not feel like they are doing anything wrong. What’s worse is that in one case in the video about drunk drivingit said that one driver just walked away like nothing happened. I do not know if he was scared or if that was him thinking in a drunken way. Also when someone is drunk and they get in a car accident or get any injury it doesn't hurt as much since they are drunk. They don’t tense up when they know something is coming so they just let the car crash and it doesn’t affect them as much. When someone who is sober gets into a car accident it will injure that sober person more than it will a drunk person. When the sober person sees a car coming or sees a car accident coming it is human nature to tense up. When they do tense up they try to avoid the crash and not let the crash harm them, but that only makes it worse because your body will get…

Our Christian life is based on the word of God and nothing else. As a Christian we are held to a higher standard. We should abstain from alcoholic drink. The bible clearly shows that drinking alcoholic beverages result in cheating, hypocrisy, pride, and blasphemy. The spiritual damage caused is not worth it, not only that but the physical health problems as well. Christians should act responsibly concerning their personal testimony and influence. Romans 14:21 “Do not do anything that will hurt your testimony as a believer.” Alcoholic beverages today are much stronger than those of the biblical era and much more likely to produce imperilment of judgment and drunkenness. Today, 5 ounces of wine equals 12 ounces of beer which equals 1.5 ounces of whiskey, such drinks are approximately three times the alcohol contained in an 8-ounce cup of diluted wine in biblical times. Luke 12:45, “Drunkenness will cause a person not to be ready for the Lord’s return.” This is bad because we must be ready for no one knows the day or hour.…
