Don T You Think It's Time To Start Thinking Analysis
In the essay, "Don’t You Think It's Time to Start Thinking," Northrop Frye argues that students have not been properly taught the skills of good thinking. Frye states that in today's society everyone believes that thinking can be obtained without training. However, he believes students need to be taught carefully, as true thinking is defined as the practice of expressing ideas until they are in the right words. He continues by stating that only a few people have the ability to articulate at all. Frye believes that we've gotten into this state of bad thinking because in today's society there are several currents that work against the development of articulating.
