Diversity: The Importance Of Canadian Values In Canada
Canadian values are different to everybody, these values can and should be defined. The similarity between the various perspectives of values is that they are all positive. These values hold importance to us, and help us make a better place to live. Ethics involve a big part of our values. They signify and bring out the best of us, for example when we took in the refugees. Our values to us and other people are positive, they include a variety of different character traits. Diversity is a huge part of our values and will be as Canada is one of the world’s most peaceful countries. As a result, we should be identifying the values of Canadians.

I was walking at my local park, and a little kid fell off his bike and started crying, almost everyone at the park who were close to the child went and offered to help. These values can be found anywhere in Canada. Another example of values such as kindness, responsibility and other character traits can be found in places where it is taught, such as school, workplaces and more. One of the examples at our school, North Park Secondary School, which occurred to me was when I bumped into someone while walking. We both said “Sorry” and helped each other pick up our belongings. Our ethics come from different people and backgrounds, which may include doing a big favor or a small favor, as taking in refugees or holding the door for someone and our manners. These are a big part of being able to define Canadian values positively. We have grown up and learned values such as responsibility and other positive character traits at our school or our workplace, which helped us grow as a person and helped Canada develop as a country. Our values have been noted as positive and helpful. Our diversity from all around the world makes our values seem greater.
