Week Six Assignment 2
I was a student that discovered my interest in psychology while working on my AS degree. My introductory to psychology class opened my eyes and started my journey to wanting to want to know all that I could about the field of psychology. There are so many different degrees of study in the field of psychology. For the student that would like to work with people, but are not interested in conducting research, seek a master 's degree in a helping field such as counseling, counseling or clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work. Whereas, if you are the student who would like to one day teach a doctoral degree would be an essential part of planning on conducting research or teaching at the college level. A doctoral-level education has much more to it than conducting research or teaching at the college level. It could also include training in research in addition to therapeutic skills this degree provides a greater range of flexibility autonomy but, also requires five to seven years of continuous education of graduate work to complete (Kuther & Morgan, 2010).
