Describe Samford Research Paper
The first time I stepped on Samford’s campus, I knew I was home. I am originally from North Carolina and had never heard about Samford until I moved to Birmingham in 2010. The reason I chose Samford was because I do not feel as if I am just another student, but I am being accepted into a family. There are three major reasons why I chose Samford: the beauty, the people, and the community. I can remember the first time that I saw Samford’s campus, I was in awe. I live in Birmingham and I see the beauty of city everyday, but when I am at Samford, I see the city from a different view. I am constantly impressed with the sites of the campus, but the people are incredible. There is an overwhelming joy that is within the students at Samford. I am always trying to lift people up and put a smile on their face and so I knew Samford was for me the moment I stepped on campus. When I found out I was moving to Alabama, I thought I would be surrounded by farm animals and miles of uninhabited terrain. Little did I know I was moving to the best place in the world. From the food to the theaters, Birmingham is the coolest city in the South. What I love about Samford is how much impact the university has on the community. Their community engagement sticks out to me because many other colleges focus on money and their sports teams, while at Samford, they invest in everyone. From art clubs to church ministry activities, Samford is involved. I want to be involved in my community as much as I can while I am at Samford because I know that I can be a difference

What was most important to me about the franklin college was that it is in my home town and I feel like I have a better connection with it since I live about less than 100 feet from it. The things I have learned about the history of the college is that the prosecutor that prosecuted president’s Abraham Lincolns assassin went to the franklin college. I know now that many great minds and people went to a small town to a great college that has served many purposes threw out its…

After visiting Towson for a tour, I realized this higher learning institution has three key ingredients to nurture me in my academic pursuits as well as my personal growth. The first ingredient is Towson’s diversity in campus life. I am impressed with the plethora of campus clubs including special interests and spirituality. The second ingredient is the marriage of research-based learning with hands-on application. I was thrilled to learn from the tour guide about the faculty-mentored research experiences which are student-centered. The third ingredient which helped make Towson University my first choice is its solid foundation in the liberal arts.…
