Definition Essay: What Is Courage?
What is courage?
Courage - the ability to do something that frightens one. Courage - strength in the face of pain or grief. Courage can not be defined by a dictionary. Courage is one of those things that you have to experience first hand before you really know what it means. It might not seem like it but courage is everywhere all the time.Courage is facing your fears no matter what the circumstance. Courage is risking your life for someone or something else in need. To me, courage is compassion, bravery, strength, and kindness.
Juliane is a girl who showed a lot of courage. Juliane was on a plane with about 100 others. She was with her mom on her way to visit her dad at work. She was flying over the amazon river and her plane started acting up. It crashed in the rain forest and there was only one survivor. It was Julianae. She knew she couldn’t give up. She used her prior knowledge to get her back to civilization. Then she met up with her dad and had a story to tell.
Juliane and Brian both showed large acts of courage. Their acts were similar in many ways. They both were the only ones to survive their crash, and they both survived in the wild. They both made the best of their situation. And learned how to deal with their new

Chris was inside watching T.V. when a news report came on of a missing girl in his town. He thought nothing of it. It came on again and again. And then he decided something must be done. He went out on his bike with his friend Temar Boggs. They were determined to find her. After 45 minutes of searching they found a suspicious car driving slow by parks and such. When they got a closer look there was a little girl in the backseat, and her face matched the one on the news. They continued to follow the car and eventually the car stopped and the girl ran out and the car speed away. That is very courageous in my
