Debating Abortion and Genetically Modified Foods
1. It is clear that abortion ends a life.
This is noble. Reason why, huge numbers of people feel it is an evil act to kills an unborn child. Conversely, others believe that it is a woman’s legal right to choose abortion especially in case of incest, rape, or health issues threatening life of a mother. The bottom line to it is Abortion is murder.
2. Abortion is the most basic of rights available to women.
This is a strong statement. According to the Global World Post 1973 is marked as a very important year for women’s rights in the USA. It was that year that abortion became a constitutional right and was legalized on a federal level across the USA with the historical Supreme Court Decision Roe v. Wade. However, women have many other options for safe pregnancy. However, it is also two ways to critic this statement. If abortion were the only option to save the mother then in that case abortion would be the basic right for the woman. The other view of it is still murder, because, someone’s life is being ended.
3. Opponents and proponents of abortion have never had a chance to vote on its legality.
This is a good statement. There is a lot of research concerning the government and abortion.
4. Abortion is legal in the U.S. today less because we believe in a woman’s right to end a pregnancy than because we have an impoverished understanding of personhood.
This is a good statement. Because it can be argue in term of how abortion is murder, because it is basically taking someone’s life. Or it can be argue that women has a right to do whatever they wan with their body.
5. I believe that we need to educate ourselves better about genetically modified foods.
This is a good statement. Our society is sick, and I believe many of the processed foods and the homogenous foods are part to blame. I know I was fortunate to have fresh fruits and vegetables grown in my grand parents garden. I really miss the delicious foods of my youth, because it is a rare occurrence to find the same
