Deadbeat Dads: Irresponsible Parents or Political Scapegoats?
Irresponsible parents or political scapegoats? Its very easy to bring a child into this world. It takes a man and a woman to quickly construct a child in the heat of the moment. The problem with this is that in some cases, the father takes off on the mother and the newborn baby. He is suddenly faced with the responsibility of costly child support and simply being around and tending to this new child in his life. It is a life altering experience for both the mother and the father. In many cases the men try to make an escape due to the fact that they dont want to be involved with the mother and the new child, therefore leave the child behind, fatherless. I believe all deadbeat dads are selfish, irresponsible men whose mental growth has been stunted somehow or another. A grown man should take full responsibility for a child he has created. It is not fair to his partner or his child to be walked out on like that.

However, in some cases, women can be conniving and skimp on birth control pills and get pregnant by mistake by a man with good genes. There are many of those out there as well as the selfish men whose partners believed were good hearted and loyal. Women can also be to blame sometimes. In a case like this, where a man is tricked into believing the woman is taking a form of a contraception, I dont think the man should have to be involved with the aftermath. If he firmly gave the understanding to the woman, that he doesnt want a baby in the first place, then the woman should take full responsibility for her actions of sneakiness. It is a serious thing to bring a child into this world. Some people are simply not able to be parents. For the people, who are honest from the start, I have sympathy. However, I have zero compassion for the other irresponsible deadbeats who walk out on taking care of the children they were aware of creating from the start.

The Deadbeat Dad Policies in Arizona include that obviously both parents must pay child support. There are strict regulations that the court enforces for the child to receive the financial support. Arizona has a specific website in which there are photos of deadbeats who have a warrant out for their arrest due to the unpaid child support. Therefore, when parents start the program, photos must be taken in case that parent does not pay. Attorney Kevin Jensen explains, “Here in Maricopa County, Sheriff Joe Arpaio conducts an annual deadbeat parent roundup…who are not providing court ordered financial support for their children” (Jensen 1). These deadbeat policies are strict to the reason of providing financial support for the child. By providing a picture identification of the deadbeat, Arizona child support can keep the deadbeats in track of their responsibilities as fathers/mothers.…

Fathers are often left out of research, as society focuses mainly on mothers and their roles in the parent-child relationship. If research is done, the research surrounds fathers who belong to the middle- and upper-class. The article entitled “Father Involvement in Urban Low-Income Fathers: Baseline Associations and Changes Resulting From Preventive Intervention” examines father involvement among ethnically diverse, low-income fathers. The goals of the research consist of filling the gaps of the literature, by studying a different population, and evaluating if whether attendance of workshops that concentrate on communication, coping, and parenting skills within this population will affect the ways in which fathers contribute to rearing children (Reinks et al., 2011).…

Children in families with absent fathers are more vulnerable compared to the children in families, where two parents are present. Self-appraisal in children with absent fathers is quite low, as these children suffer from their mother's emotional crisis, as well as her attempts to replace the role that the father is supposed to play, as mother often tries to adhere to strict educational and behavioural strategies, while neglecting traditional mother's traits of character, such as care, maternal love and attitude, and tolerance to children. At the same time, such change in behaviour has negative impact on child's self-esteem, sense of self-reliance, and positive self-appraisal in general.…

A woman possesses self-awareness, this is a fact. At a minimum, the self-awareness to have the ability to express preference or interest on a topic. This capacity for self-awareness, preferences, or interest is balanced out by the capacity for suffering if the woman is not able to realize her preferences or interests. In the case of an unwanted pregnancy, a woman may have the preference of terminating the pregnancy as to not adversely impact her life. After all, the woman has been alive long enough to establish a way of life and a career, the latter of which is arguably the most important aspect of maintaining oneself in our increasingly capitalistic western…

There is no reason to punish an unborn child, just because they are unwanted. Especially for the reason that most women, are with complete control of their body; meaning they could prevent any risk of the unwanted pregnancy. So just because the women made the mistake of having a baby she didn’t want or couldn’t take care of, doesn’t mean she should put the burden of that on a unborn…

I learned that one excuse people use to justify is rape. Well I looked the statistics up and two to five percent of rape victims end up pregnant, and that is if they go and report the crime so a doctor can clean them out with a rape kit. And if this is the situation then they can simply give the baby to someone who does want kids like my aunt and many other women who would and will love the baby. When I read in high detail this next part I could not stop crying, because of the horror of it all and the evil that a person must be, to do this. Pro-choice never explains to anyone about the “fetus” moving around trying to get away from the instruments doctors’ use when they perform an abortion. The doctors that do this for a living and know the practice like the back of their hand never tell women about the baby pushing away from the probes they use while murdering them or the way the baby fights with all the strength he has until his death. This is how bad our society has gotten, because the mother’s womb is supposed to be the safest place for a child. Well even in there some babies are faced with the fear of their innocent…

Pregnancy because of carelessness is not a good reason to have an abortion. “The predominant themes identified as reasons for seeking abortion included financial reasons (40%), timing (36%), partner related reasons (31%).” (Biggs, 2013, para 3) Each life is important for pro-life activist…

Men may only have a few choices in this matter but women have many. From taking a small pill daily, to having her tubes cut or tied to prevent pregnancy, abortion of children that are not wanted are very easily preventable. Abortions not only cause unwanted pain to the child, but to the mother as well. Some of the pain is physical, some of it can be mental pain; that only comes after there is no turning back and the child is gone. Birth control can prevent an innocent child that did not ask for any of the pain that he or she may go through when they are aborted. It is also a very practical decision in a person’s life when the thought of not wanting children is…

In the twenty-first century, everyone wants what they want, when they want it. Our culture is obsessed with immediacy. Because of our human nature, we want to be able to choose everything, even our consequences, despite our action. Sometimes a person getting what they desire is a good thing, but it can also be bad. There are many choices on debate. and one of them is a mother’s choice to keep or kill her baby. Seemingly linked to that, is the choice to be pregnant at all. Although the rampant use of birth control among young women has caused uproar in society because of its relation to abortion and religious and health reasons, it is important to know exactly what kind of birth control is being discussed, how it works, and why people are against it. Not all forms of birth control are abortion, but that…
