What might it feel like to be abducted from your front yard at the age of seven? Ethan De Wilde, the protagonist in Lisa McMann’s Dead to You, knows just how this feels. Ethan was abducted at the age of seven by a woman who then raised him. But years down the road she abandoned him. At sixteen years old Ethan finds himself on a missing child page and is soon reunited with his parents and younger siblings Blake and Gracie who were born after Ethan was kidnapped. The book shows the family's struggle with each other as Ethan re-enters their lives and how Ethan has such a hard time remembering his past with them.
