David Pauker has been a turnaround manager and restructuring advisor for over twenty-five years and is currently the Chief Restructuring Officer at Essar Steel Minnesota. He was appointed by creditors to the Board of reorganized Lehman Brothers and is currently Chairman of its Legal Affairs and Affiliates Committees.

David was formerly Executive Managing Director of Goldin Associates, LLC, an advisor to underperforming companies or their creditors, lenders and investors. He has acted as CRO, CEO or turnaround manager for well-known companies including Refco (diversified financial services), Young Broadcasting and Vlasic Foods/Swanson Frozen Foods.     David Crosthwait made tremendous contributions to the design, installation, testing, and service of power plant and heating and ventilation systems. David Crosthwait was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1898, and then grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Crosthwait earned a bachelors degree from Purdue University in 1913, and in 1920, he got his masters degree in engineering.     Leonard Peltier is a Native American activist who has been convicted and sentenced to two consecutive terms of life imprisonment in 1977. Peltier, a member of the American Indian movement was convicted for first degree murder in the shooting of two FBI agents during the 1975 Pine Ridge Indian Reservation conflict. In 1965, years before the conflict Leonard moved to Seattle Washington and became an owner of an auto body shop. While in Seattle Leonard became involved with many causes which supported Native American civil rights. Eventually Peltier joined the AIM, or the American Indian Movement. He began to learn about the dissenting tension at the Pine Ridge Indian Reserve in South Dakota between supporters of Richard Wilson, the tribal chairman elected in 1972 and the more traditionalist members of the tribe. Richard Wilson had created a militia known as GOONs or Guardians of the Oglala Nation. The members of this militia were alleged to have attacked political opponents. Protests over an unsuccessful prosecution hearing of Wilson contributed to the AIM armed takeover of Wounded Knee in 1973. This resulted in a 71-day barrier by federal forces, commonly known as the Wounded Knee Incident.…

    Born December 28th, 1942 in New York City, Neil Leifer was born. Growing up there, he would gain free admission to the New York Giants games by pushing the wheelchairs of handicapped patrons into the stadiums. Using his free ticket and camera, he would position himself on the field with the photographers. As a youth, he studied photography at Henry Street Settlement. Leifer gained free admission to the 1958 NFL title game between the Giants and Baltimore Colts. This game became famous as the first overtime game in league history. Most well known for his tales of the Wilderness in the book, “Hatchet” He won the Margaret Edwards Award from the American Library Assosiation in 1997 for his lifetime contribution in writing for teens. Gary Paulsen was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where his extended family resided, to Oscar and Eunice H. Paulsen has two siblings: a full sister, Paulette, and a half-brother Bill who was born to his father from a previous marriage. (“Gary Paulsen” 2012.) His father was a career Army officer, who spent most of World war ll overseas. Gary did not meet his father until he was 9 years old. He spent time throughout his childhood with his grandmother, aunts and various other relatives. When he was seven he and his mother joined his father in the Philippines where he lived for two years. He then returned to Minnesota.” At the age of 14, Gary ran away and joined a carnival. And ran away at the age of 14 and worked on a ausgar beet farm. He quit that job and spent the rest of his summer as a “carnie” in a carnival.
