ASSIGNMENT TOPIC:
* TYPES OF PROCESSORS, RAMS, PRINTERS AND HARD DISKS.
* DOMAIN AND WORK-GROUP.
* CORE i7 AND ITS SPECIFICATIOS.
* SPECIFICATIONS OF OWN PC.

Types of Processors:
Basically there are two types of processors which are manufactured by two companies and they are Intel and AMD. Now there are a number of varieties available in both Intel and AMD. * Intel offers Pentium Pro, Pentium II, Celeron, Pentium II Xeon, Pentium III, Pentium II and III Xeon, Celeron with Pentium III Based, Pentium 4, Pentium M, Intel Core, Dual Core Xeon LV, Intel Pentium Dual Core, Intel Core 2. Pentium Duo, Pentium Dual Core, Core 2 Quad, Intel Pentium 2 Dual Core Processor. * AMD processors include AMD Athlon, AMD Athlon 64, AMD Athlon X2, AMD Athlon Xp, AMD Duron, AMD Sempron, AMD Turion, MD Opteron and AMD Phenom 1. Moreover, there are various processors offered by various companies like Macintosh processor. In other words different processors are used for different types of technology. Types of Rams:

There are many different types of RAM which have appeared over the years and it is often difficult knowing the difference between them both performance wise and visually identifying them. 1. SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM)

2. DDR (Double Data Rate SDRAM)
3. Rambus DRAM (RDRAM) DRAM comes in two major form factors: DIMMs and RIMMS. 4. FPM RAM
5. EDO RAM
Types of Printers:
They are broadly categorized in to two types, they are
1. Impact Printers:
To create text or image by physically make the print head to press the ink ribbon and cause the ink deposition on the paper in desired form is called impact type. Normally it is quite louder in nature when compared to other types of printers. The well-known example for impact type is Dot Matrix and Daisy wheel. Some of the latest impact based in the market is Line printer (high speed impact printer), IBM electromagnetic table printing machine, and Apple Image writer. For example * Daisy wheel

* Dot matrix
* Pen based plotter
* Line printer
* Typewriter-derived
* Teletypewriter-derived

2. Non-Impact Printers:
These produce text or images on paper without striking the paper physically are called as non-impact type. These are not louder when compared to other types of printers. The well-known example of this type is Thermal printer, lasers and inkjets . Some of the latest non-impact printers in market are HP Laser Jet and Apple Laser Writer (The laser printer with built-in postscript interpreter). For example * Tonner based (Laser)

* Liquid ink (Inkjet)
* Solid ink
* Dye-sublimation
* Thermal
* Inkless
* UV
Type of Hard disks:
Hard Disk Drive - It is a non-volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surface. 1. IDE: Integrated Drive Electronics. IDE drives are also known as PATA drives( Parallel advance technology attachment ) 2. SATA: Serial advance technology attachment

3. SCSI: Small Computer System Interface. SCSI is pronounced as scuzzy. 4. SAS: Serial Attached SCSI
Domain:
In general, a domain is an area of control or a sphere of knowledge. 1. In computing and telecommunication in general, a domain is a sphere of knowledge identified by a name. Typically, the knowledge is a collection of facts about some program entities or a number of network points or addresses. 2. On the Internet, a domain consists of a set of network addresses. This domain is organized in levels. The top level identifies geographic or purpose commonality (for example, the nation that the domain covers or a category such as "commercial"). The second level identifies a unique place within the top level domain and is, in fact, equivalent to a unique address...
