David Beckham is a professional soccer player everyone dreams of being. David has a lot of older and younger fans boys and girls supporting him game after game. David has played for several teams in his past career. He had some rough times when he came to the United States but he has managed.
Childhood

David was born in London,England May 2,1975. David's parents are Ted Beckham a appliance repairman and his mother Sandra was a hair stylist. He was the family's only son. Beckham played for a local youth team called the Ridgeway Rovers, coached by his father, Stuart Underwood and Steve Kirby.
By the age of eight, Beckham was scoring more than a hundred goals over three seasons for his team, Ridgeway Rovers of the Enfield District League.At the

In 1998 he played all of England's matches in the FIFA World Cup and scored several victories. July 1,2003 Beckham signed a four year contract with Real Madrid, making a potential worth of forty million dollars. Beckhams favorite number to wear for his jerseys was the number seven. When he joined Real Madrid he wasn't able to wear his number because another player had it. He then decided to wear the number twenty-three being a fan of Michael Jordan. However, Beckham's career since moving to the United States,has been a difficult change for him. Beckham sprained a knee ligament during his first season in L.A., and later missed a chance to play in the 2010 World Cup because of an Achilles tendon injury. Beckham has been in several teams during his careers such as Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain, and the England national team.
