1.1 - It is a way of saying that you are responsible for the welfare of yourself and of others. If you ignore this duty, you are breaking the rules. You will then have carried out your duty of care to do what is reasonably expected of you to safeguard the individual and you have provided for the individuals rights to make informed choices.
2.3 – The manager/ deputy manager, MENCAP, IMCA, DOLS, social workers, g.p. surgeries, psycho geriatricians etc.
3.1 – Listen to what the individual has to say, go to managers office, describe the complaint to the manager, ask for advice for the proper reply, evaluate and respond appropriately to the original individual.
3.2 – Frontline Resolution; for issues that are straightforward and easily resolved, requiring little or no investigation. ‘On-the-spot’ apology, explanation, or other action to resolve the complaint quickly, in five working days or less, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Investigation; for issues that have not been resolved at the frontline or that are complex, serious or ‘high risk’. A definitive response provided within 20 working days following a thorough investigation of the points raised. Sensitive complaints that meet set criteria may have the opportunity for additional internal
