August Rush: Critical Review
When I read online there was going to be a movie about music, I knew that "August Rush" was a movie that I wanted to see. Ever since I saw the trailer for this movie, I was hooked. Usually, movies don’t tend to captivate my interest so quickly, but the preview to this drama film definitely got me engaged. I could already begin to see that the director of this film would be relaying all the passion and emotion found within the diverse music and covey it on display. Although August Rush has a PG rating, the film presents itself as a film that is for everyone. Not only is this film an inspiring life changing story, but is also a film that shows how music can transform the lives of many people. Through the elements of acting, setting the scene, and the music, the director of this drama did an amazing job portraying how impactful music is.

It’s not common to see a movie accomplish such a roller-coaster feel that turns me away from the picture and got me right back on my feet, but somehow the story manages to do so and left me an emotional mess by the end. I typically never cry in movies, but I may have shed a tear or two while watching this film. Evan was born into an orphanage and later runs away to the “big city” of New York to seek out his real parents. While in New York, he is taken in by

These films and shows are original, revolutionary, but also keep intact the traditional conventions and styles at the heart of the genre.
