Creative Writing: The Little Randals
This is Barney. He’s a Randal. He lives with his family in Carrollton, Alaska. His friends, the little Randals, are planning one last adventure before everyone is forced to move. The first to arrive is Clint and he loves to dance. His favorite move is the “Chunky Monkey". Although his legs are slow to go, his stomach is always on the quest for the next delicious snack. Look out! Crashing through the window is Tito. He’s creative and brave. His inventions tend to get him in and out of trouble. Next time, use the front door! Little Randals can make a BIG mess, but Barney’s Mom would like the house clean before it’s torn down. Be careful with that, Clint. Stinger loves to talk so he’s excited to help translate for Rose who was invited over to …show more content…
Watch out Tito! The ground gives way and the Randals find themselves falling down a giant waterslide. Down they go, splish-splashing all the way. Hold your nose Pink, you’re heading to the deep end! The little Randals emerge from the murky water to see Wax’s gigantic pirate ship floating in the lagoon, its gold mast shining in the sunlight. It’s even bigger then Barney imagined. Everyone celebrates in excitement! Then out of the water a large tentacle appears! It’s a giant octopus and it’s wrapped up Stinger and Pink. It must be guarding the treasure. Help them Tito! Barney makes it into the cabin room and can’t believe his eyes! Gold coins are scattered all over the place, and sitting at the table is Black Beard Wax himself. He’s found the money to save the Randals! Oh no! Our tiny heroes led Mama Fattie and her girls right to the ship! They’ve come to steal Wax’s treasure and capture the little Randals. HELP! Just as the Fatties are going to make the Randals walk the plank, Mama notices something odd about Stinger. He’s been awfully quiet. She spots a string of pearls hiding within his bulging belt. Look Randals! Up in the …show more content…
No, it’s Captain Clint! They’ll stand up to Mama and her bully girls. Drop the treasure and escape while you still can! The little Randals cheer as Clint reunites with his friends and directs everyone to jump overboard and swim away. Super Snake will put an end to the Fatties and rescue Wax’s treasure. The Randals make it out of the collapsing cave and safely to the beach. Clint thanks Snake for helping his friends and welcomes him into the group. There's always room for one more Randal, even if he’s SUPER-sized! No one believes their pirate tale until Rose finds Barney’s marble bag full of priceless gems. The sparkling rubies and shimmering diamonds are more than enough to saved the Randals! Barney is happy to see his parents and their even happier to see him! Remember, no matter how big you get, or how far you travel, you’ll always be a little Randal to your Mom and Dad. Always say, I love you. As the sun grows tired and gets ready for bed, Barney and his friends watch Wax sail into the sunset and wonder when they’ll see him again. Snake waves and says goodbye. Everyone stops and stares… One thing a Randal doesn’t say is goodbye. Little Randals NEVER say bye! They simply say, “Adventure onward, little

Optics flickered towards the west a smile drawing itself upon the lips of the male. He adored moons such as this, known readily in the ancient world as the harvest or wolf moon, the circular orb in the sky shown such as this only twice per year; once in the spring and once in the fall during the equinox consisting of exactly 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. Such moons were both a blessing and a curse, for though they granted better light in which to hunt by it also meant the prey was able to see the predator with increased ease as there were fewer shadows in which to stalk. But it did not matter for this turn of the tables would only last so long before it moved in favor of the predator once again. When the moon was…
