I could only stare agape when our commander stood there lik an ignoramus. Odysseus sneered and cackled nearly overpowering Polyester's vexing thunder. I faced Odysseus's backside, my lips pursed and dark fists so firm not the cyclops himself could free my grip. However, the other men began to lower themselves into a corner, ready to cower and continue shivering. For what then had marked our second day in that putrid cave. It was time my docile manners changed...

"Nobody, I command you to stop your irritating taunts, put down your foot and lead these men like a worthy king would!" My scar through my cheek popped out at my words.

"Yes... Killian Rhea." He spoke with his teeth grinded and fists clenched so they were white. "That is the name of the subdued young man in the back?" He flicked his body towards mine, my blue eyes only gleamed back. "Thank Killian, we stay here till' dawn rises!" His eyes stayed locked with mine as everyone scampered around us. "Sleep Killian." With that we waited, waited for the sun to arise, waited for the beams of light to shine through the creases of the murky cave, and all through the moon we waited for the murder in our hearts to cease. …show more content…
Clearly, his plan was to leave me as I was the last one under my wooly sheep. We could feel the cold, night air of the cave sucked in my the humid sun, the sheep quickly herded for it. My sheep was the first out as it was light and fluffy, whilst it move through the pasture I loosened myself and waited for the others. Quickly, scurried our leftover men who had survived this appalling adventure. Odysseus was the last to leave the flock of sheep and goats. But, the battle was only half way

Polyphemus starts asking them questions; Odysseus doesn’t want to tell him anything that can be used to track home back home if he escapes, so Odysseus tells Polyphemus, “Cyclops, you ask my honorable name? Remember the gift you promised me, and I shall tell you. My name is Nohbdy: mother, father, and friends, everyone calls me Nohbdy.”(Line 313-316) This shows how quick Odysseus can think up plans to keep him from getting killed. Another time Odysseus shows his quick wits is the plan he formulates to escape the Cyclops’ home. Odysseus and his men get Polyphemus drunk and waited for him to fall asleep. Once asleep, they made a large spike which they then used to stab Polyphemus in the eye while he was asleep. Polyphemus got up and opened the exit to call out to other fellow Cyclopes to come and help him. While Polyphemus did this, it granted Odysseus and his men time to get out of the cave.
