Abstract The purpose of this article is to outline the many different solutions that can be implemented at Cramton Memorial Hospital. From the main findings, all research has shown that different solutions are present in helping to lower the nursing retention rates as well as saving money for the health care organization. From these findings, it is shown that the transformational management style and the specialized orientation program is the best and most effective solutions that can be implemented and work to help the organization lower the nursing retention rates as well as save money from their nursing budget. With the use of one of the viable solutions it will increase job satisfaction as well as empower nurses to want to contribute

    HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLINESS: Mr. Barua is a 42 year old gentleman from Bangladesh who presents with chest tightness, shortness of breath, and tachycardia. Dr. J.K McClean of cardiology is evaluating his heart condition. The patient has had the recent onset of hemoptysis. He was treated for tuberculosis in Bangladesh 15 years ago. This has prompted the concern of weather his treatment of tuberculosis was adequate or if weather there is another cause of his hemoptysis. The duration of his tuberculosis treatment was apparently adequate, according to his wife. But no records are available. In addition, the patient had thrombosis of the axially artery treated last year at Hillcrest. He had an embolectomy and has been on Coumadin since. INR is significantly elevated at 16. None the less, because of the cavitary lesions that are seen in the right and left upper lobes, the possibility of tuberculosis has been raised. Ancillary history was been given by the wife, Nupaul, with the patient translating for her from the Indie language.…

    Summary: This article informs the reader of the shortage of nurses. The article mentions, as in the past, nurses are still putting in long hours, caring for more patients, desperately trying to stay on top of things. There is a new nursing shortage, different from the old one. The reasons of the shortage are examined. Fewer people are entering the nursing field, a general dissatisfaction of many issues, and a high burnout rate. The article consists of three main reasons for the shortage, each of which go into detail about a certain issue. The new shortage requires unique solutions that will fix the underlying issues, not just solutions that will help in the short run.
