Courtney Chumley's Impact On My Life
Throughout high school, there have been many people who have inspired me, but the one who has left the most impact on my life is Courtney Chumley. She was my Algebra II teacher sophomore year. At the beginning of that year, I had a negative attitude towards her for two reasons: she seemed very rude and snobby and simply because she taught math. All of those negative feelings quickly faded away when I realized what a wonderful and caring person she was. I’m not really sure how we became friends, if I’m honest, I just found myself coming to talk to her more often. Whenever that school year ended, I was worried that we would lose the bond that we formed throughout the school year, but I could not have been more wrong. To this day, she still

My Duncan Buddy’s name was Chariteey. She and I did not have that great of a relationship. Some days she would say that she did not like me, while other days she would apologize for saying that she didn’t like me. I think I impacted Chariteey’s life by showing her that you cannot just push people away. Saying “mean” things to people is not ok and I told her that. I told her that it was ok that she said it because she apologized, but that she cannot go around saying things like that to other people. She talks about her mom, but had mentioned that her father died when she was younger. I think her mom is there for her, but not as involved as she could be. She mentions that she goes on “trips” with her friend that is a guy. I was not sure how…

He was just one year younger than me and his name was Santiago. Santiago expressed himself which I got jealous of because I was still shy on talking to people and getting to know them better. He really didn’t care what other people think and talked about things he knew or what talents he got. Till this day I still admire him for that. On those times I was a total jerk to him which I regret so much because when the years pass more and more he shuts his doors of trust in front of me. He became a very talented piano player and right next to him is the bass player, me, trying to catch up to him.…

During the four and a half days we were traveling, I was constantly next to three people. We drove hours together, ate together, slept together, and walked dozens of miles together. It is hard not to consider them best friends after that. I think it’s pretty stupendous that there was a girl in my room who I had ever said a word to on my own. Now, we laugh like we have been friends forever. Additionally, I chatted with people on my bus who I barely talked to. We got to visit interesting places which created lasting conversation. If our school did not go to Washington D.C., I never would have befriended these amazing people. What is more valuable than friendship?…

Lexy has made such a large impact on my life without even knowing it. She has proven to me that not everyone in the world is a bad person. I just hope someday that I can help someone as much as she has helped me.…

On the first day of fifth grade, I came across this girl in my class named Maylee, Maylee Ariston. Instantly, we became best friends and still are five years later. As biased as it might sound, Maylee and I have had the most solid friendship for any two middle school girls. Throughout the last five years, we have never gone through the slightest argument, which is a really rare relationship to come across in this day and time. On the down side, we caused a lot of trouble together. In our younger years together, we had gotten into innocent troubles such as falling in old smelly ponds and purposely…

I made life time friends and I had a chance to see my heroes and role models face to face. People like Isaac caree,Emmett smith, and Steve Harvey of course along with some other athletics and well known people were there too. To say the least it was the best experience I had every had and given the choice, I would do it all over again. I thought that that would be the most special thing that would happens but little did I know one more blessing and bigger responsibility would come my way. Towards the end of my junior year I had been informed that a teacher had been notated to do some mentoring for a program raider two raider the program started my senior and I have the responsibility to mentor oncoming freshmen. That was just another blessing that I would more then gladly accept. But later as I thought about this came to the conclusion that with all that has happened, I am a compassionate a caring person that's meant to help people through the same struggle. And as I reflect and reminance what's happened in my life I can't help but smile, laugh and give thanks to the one who made this possible because those trials and bumps in the road shape me to who I am…

In as much, I would miss her too, but ever since that day, a great deal has changed. Whenever my back was turned she would always belittle who I was by speaking badly of me to her friends. Although she would would do this every opportunity, it had no effect on what my real friends thought of me, and when she stopped, with time I put everything to the past and tried to move forward. As soon as I shifted over to the high school, she seemed to forget about everything too, and we became friends again. Since we were in band together, we chose each other as bus partners. Being the last one to get on the bus, she would always get the window seat, which I obviously had no problem with, but she always seemed to hit me on her way out almost like she meant it. Everyone got off to go eat lunch, and we walked together. I gave her some space because I felt like I needed space after a long bus ride that had many people, and many bad odors. Knowing how I felt, she got closer to me, almost pushing me. I told her that I really needed my space, so I could cool down from the bus ride. As if trying to trigger me she pushed even…

I made some good friends that I would still know for many years, but my awkwardness persisted. I stopped drawing as much, and instead spent more time reading and playing games. My favorite book genre at the time was fantasy and fiction (And still is, mostly). I enjoyed how fantasy stories laid out the story for the audience, but still left it up to the reader to interpret the words and form the imagery in their own mind. As for my favorite games, I enjoyed games with an excellent story, or games that allowed creative freedom. Unfortunately, my enjoyment of games would only last a few more years. But I still had my books. Anyways, near the end of my time at Edendale, I made some good friends. Some of them I met at school, and others I met on the internet (from mutual interests). There was no real major development around this time, so lets jump into my high school…

Let me break down the basis of our friendship: support, dedication, and understanding. When I look back on our high school adventures, there were so many amusing memories that we share. We cried together, laughed together, laughed until we cried together, but the former was done the most. We have inside jokes that only we find hilarious. Tenth grade AP Chemistry tied us together like a blood pact, seeing as that subject was the toughest. We always said that we either survived this subject or die for each other doing…

In 8th grade, I went to a tiny school called Mountain Mahogany Community School. I had 3 best friends. One was a girl, Seaonna, and the other two were boys, Jordan and Josh. Jordan was never really one to open up. He was one of the most closed books I have ever encountered. It was hard to tell if he was sad, happy, angry, or just being a pain, unless you really got to know him. If I had to sum him up in one word, it would be difficult. He had this brooding aura about him. I didn’t really like him right away, but I wanted to be his friend because I like to help people, I guess. Or maybe I just attract people with bigger problems than most people, or it could even be the other way around. It took a while, but eventually he let me in.…
