Counseling Reflection
The professional growth during the past ten weeks started with identifying with classmates, which I feel had a powerful impact on my learning. The online learning environment was dynamic and I really enjoyed the discussions and feed back I receive from my peers.

Detail the three most important points you have learned during this course.

CACREP- Importance of advocacy from and with in the profession of counseling. I also feel I have developed an interest in honor societies for the promotion of counseling profession.

Summon- The research libraries that Capella has established, and the combined data bases is one of the most empowering qualities of being a student. My work was interesting, the data, and articles were fun to read. The picture of the work I planned on doing, and the recourses matched exactly what I wanted when I did searches to support a topic.

The video that described the trainee, supervisor relationship was interesting and I learned that supervisors use methods such as RBT, and well-ness to develop qualities of student counselors.

Discuss one personal strength and personal limitation you may experience as a CMHC.

    Robert suggested to always seek supervision. One important piece is meeting that client where he is in his treatment. Robert expressed that not all client want to change and not all clients will change. The important part is making them feel comfortable and building rapport and that is through meeting them where they are at in their life.
