ABSTRACT
This study proposes a close examination of LONDON FASHIONS NIGHT OUT (FNO) , an annual event held in London, showcasing clothing retailers and big-name fashion designers . It is a Fashion Events held globally. London Fashions Night out can be classified in the tertiary market in terms of coverage and designers showcased. The goal of these fashion event is to connect buyers, including boutiques, department stores and retail shops, with designers. Another goal is to bring media awareness to the future of fashion. The paper will begin with an introduction of how Fashions Night Out began and will be followed by an Evaluation of Impacts associated with staging this ‘cultural’ event. It would be outlined the way in which organisers should approach the evaluation of FNO, internally and in collaboration with stakeholders and funders, and also the eventImpacts Analysis designed to help the FNO Organisation move to- wards more developed approaches to measure, monitor and manage social, economical, environmen- tal and political impacts in this event. 1

INTRODUCTION Fashion’s Night Out is a global initiative, sponsored by Vogue and the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America). The first event was held in New York in 2009. Fashion’s Night Out began as a means to encourage consumers to shop and support the fashion industry during the tough economic climate. The event has expanded to 16 coun- tries in 2010 and will occur over the span of eight days to maximize traffic in individual retail environment. Some of the other countries that have hold their own Fashion Night Out in- clude Turkey, Italy, India, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, China, and France. The event will occur over eight days and has been touted as the largest fashion show ever to occur. Retailers that want to participate must request approval from Fashion’s Night Out via the specifically dedicated website registration page on www.fashionsnightout.com and supply full detailed information about its plans for the event. A distinct existing organized group or entity acceptable to Vogue is in charge and take re- sponsibility for arranging and hosting the event but not for the following : - The participating organization or entity own website advertising their participation with FNO. - The participating organization or entity must maintain in effect throughout the period of the event commercial general liability insurance, including coverage for bodily injury and property damage, liquor liability (if needed), contractually assumed liability and independent contractors. - The participating organization or entity shall also provide statutory workers compensation coverage (or equivalent insurance depending on the country) and employers liability insur- ance. - The organization or entity will provide a certificate of insurance to Vogue, evidencing the foregoing and naming Condé Nast as an additional insured as respects general liability in- surance.
