There are over one billion people from different types of races, nationalities and cultures across the globe, ranging from the southern Philippines to Nigeria they are united by their common Islamic faith. A small group live in the Arab the world and the world's largest Muslim community is in Indonesia, where substantial parts of Asia and most of Africa are Muslim, while significant minorities are to be found in the Soviet Union, China, North and South America, and Europe Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God. Also, that the Angels were created by Him in the prophets through whom his revelations were brought to mankind. On the Day of Judgment each individual will be held accountable for their actions, in God's complete authority over human destiny and in life after death. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon them. But God's final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that has gone before was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through Gabriel.

Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For a fifth of the world's population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, and the majority have nothing to do with the extremely grave events which have come to be associated with their faith. Islam has common characteristics with other religions. Muslims are monolithic, believing in one God. Christians are also monolithic believing in one divine deity. Together with Judaism, they go back to the prophet and patriarch Abraham, and their three prophets are directly descended from his sons Muhammad from the eldest, Ishmael, and Moses and Jesus from Isaac. Abraham established the settlement, which today is the city of Makkah, and built the Ka'ba towards which all Muslims turn when they pray. The texts in which these religions read and follow all branched from the same God. Christians have the Holy Bible, the Judaists have the Torah and Muslims have the Quran. These three religions may seem different, but they have the same God which allows for a number of similarities. These similarities are sometimes overlooked by the actions of some religious radicals in every religious faction. Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God and preach piece and unity with others. Misinterpretation of the Holly books leads to rebellion and hate for one another, putting one religion against another. All it takes is a hand full of religious individuals to tarnish the religious practices. Media is a perfect vehicle for the misguided religious groups to spread their hate and terrorism. The written word is one of the greatest inventions in man kind, but if these words in these Holly books are read by a biased individual, they can be fuel to the fire. Islam has challenges facing the outside world, the best issues is the tensions within Islam. There are some things that the world outside can see as harmless but Islam can see it as hostile. Islam has to come to reality that its changing centers. The religious centers define the heartland: Saudi Arabia maintains its guardianship of the shrines at Mecca and Medina, and the conduct of the hajj, against the claims of Shii Iran, the Shii tradition, and other sects disillusioned with Saudi Arabia's credentials within the ummah. Some clam that Saudi Arabia keeps strength because it is the centre of the ummah. It would take the combined income of Kuwait, the United Arab, Iraq, Iran and Yemen to try to match the wealth that Saudi Arabia’s oil makes them. In the future the economic centre will shift to those parts of the Muslim world with great resources...
