Concert Report
In America, the most famous Vietnamese music show is Paris by night hosted by Thuy Nga Entertainment Center. Paris by night is the music show that performed by Vietnamese pop singers and comedians. I have been in USA for 4 years but the first time I had a chance to attend Paris by night show was last year. It was Paris by night 104 at Las Vegas. The concert was performed Theater for the Performing Arts (Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino), 3667 Las Vegas Boulevard South, in 2 days September 3 and September 4 at 7:30 pm. I attended the first day of the concert. There were 14 songs and one comedy performed in the first day. Most of songs were love songs such as Goi Ten em Moi Ngay, Ve Day Nghe em, Muoi Nam Yeu em…. There were also some songs about family like Vong Co Thieng Lieng Tinh Me, and love of country: Ve Lai Pho Xua. These songs are written by some famous Vietnamese composers such as Vo Hoai Phuc, Tram Tu Lien, Tran Quang Loc, Tien Minh, Hoai An. There were three songs that I love most in this concert: Vong Co Thieng Lieng Tinh Me by Huong Giang - Huong Thuy, Noi Tinh Yeu Bat Dau by Bang Kieu – Lam Anh, and Ve Day Nghe Em by Khanh Ly – Nguyen Ngoc Ngan.
The concert began with the piece of songs about family. The song Vong Co Thieng Lieng Tinh Me was written by Vien Chau and performed by Huong Giang – Huong Thuy is a wonderful folk song about the love of mother to her daughter. The song tell a story about a single mother in the countryside. She is really poor but she raises her daughter with all of her love. She may don’t eat anything for whole day to save money to buy milk for her daughter. She works really hard for her daughter to go to school. She knows that good education is only way for her daughter to have a better life. The things that make this song succeed were the traditional Vietnamese instruments: Dan Nhi (2 strings Fiddle) and Dan Nguyet (2 Strings Guitar). These two

On Saturday 28th I went to The Globe Café in Coral Gables, I got there with my brother exactly at 8pm and sat on a high table just in front of the band. We got there just before they started playing and stayed for the whole first session that was just over an hour. The Café was real nice, It wasn’t far from where I live and there was no traffic coming in, it is situated in a very nice part of Coral Gables just two blocks from Miracle Mile, that was perfect because parking was amazing, I parked in front of the place. The Café was real nice, it had a bar and about 11 eleven tables (later when I went to the bathroom I realized it had a whole other bar and lounge area on the back). The Globe was very pleasant, the bar area…

The concert that I attended at Yale University on November eighteenth was called Symphonie Fantastique. During the concert, the band played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4, William Tell Overture, and Berlioz: Symphonie Fantastique. The music was excellent and played with much expertise. Each piece was performed well. I enjoyed listening to the extravagant music with very few mistakes.…

On October 19, 2013 I sought out to listen to some classical music for my review for class. It was a pleasure to have found the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra at the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, FL, a part of St. Luke’s concert series of 2013-14 that has been held in the last nineteen years here in Oviedo, FL. This free event that’s held each year at St. Luke church holds about three hundred people in there sanctuary, everything in the décor speak to your imagination Lutheran church. It was very nice it reminded me of a small concert hall. The orchestra fill the whole area were the choir usually sit. Christopher Wilkins, he conductor along within a full orchestra and Rimma Bergeron–Langlois the violinist, who all played four great suites from the genius of Georges Bizet, the piece from L’Arlesienne, Carmen suite, and Carmen fantasies, and Symphony in C’ that took you back in time. This classical music from the romantic era was breath taking.…

On March 31st 1732 in a small village by the name of Roharau, in Austria next to the border of Hungary, a young boy by the name of Franz Joseph Haydn, who would turn out to be a famous composer, was born to the parents of Mathias Haydn and Anna Maria Koller. Franz was one of the parents three boy children. Mathias Haydn was a professional master wheelwright who loved music. He was a harp player. An influential Taiwanese entertainment show host spotted Chou in a televised talent contest displaying his piano and songwriting skills. Chou claims he was only trying it out for fun: “I didn’t do it for the sake of getting famous.” Yet his unique cross-cultural music style quickly established a big following. But the best-selling artist is still humble, “It’s the timing, the place and the people that allowed me to make a step forward.” Chou also explains to Rao how he felt a strong sense of responsibility to educate his audience through his songs.…

Nahan by Nonon Baang, Baritone. Lyrics by Levi Celerio and Music by Ernani Cuenco. The song is heartwarming to listen and interesting with its portrayal about love. The combination of the piano and the voice of the man are really good that it doesn’t have any lack of other instruments in the song. The lyrics are good and go well with the music, and the vocal melody is nice, simple, and effective. The playing of the piano in the introduction of the song is relaxing. The quality of the voice suits really well to the type of song and the music. Everything is balance without overpowering each other. The lyrics are about the feelings that have been changed and reminisce the love they had. The transitions and overall atmosphere of the sound is played well. The song says everything what love is all about but something isn’t there. An appealing atmosphere is like the auditory description of love in between which goes from the lyrics that reflects the song. An overall knack to make interesting and seamless transitions is good. Predominately solid piano playing with the exceptional voice grabs me and the rest of it never disconnects me from absorption into the music. The singer's voice is very soothing, and the lyrics are on the whole interesting, and capable of invoking rich imagery in my imagination. The melody of the vocals are not out of synch, but there is something that leads me to believe that the singer has enough raw potential as it is to try and take what he's doing to another level. If the vocal melodies could be more refined, the overall sound would be much closer to completion. The lyrics themselves don't need as much refining, and the delivery is good, but I feel that the delivery can be more than good. The lyricism was enough for me to catch my attention to the song. In overall the music is very appealing and showcases the meaning that it wants to provide…
